All was very good ...bed..bar and staff very good BUT.
I had hake dish in bar at night time...it was badly presented and overcooked..very disappointed.
My wife had the clayton burger. It was OK...wouldn't dine there again..
But the breakfast was excellent

Staff very rude. Came to out table a few times while we were still eating, trying to take our plates away. Very rude anytime we asked for something. Would never stay here again. We stayed in the River Court on our second night in Wexford and it was by far a better and friendly hotel.

Staff advised that we could have a packed breakfast to take away as we had a very early check out time. The breakfast was substantial and very much appreciated.

Right in the centre of town - great as a base for walking around the old town.
They make it perfectly obvious that they don't serve ANY food but not a problem as restaurants and cafes on doorstep plus great move to allow you to bring food into the bar !

The Starlings Country House, a property with a garden, is situated in Wexford, 44 km from Hook Lighthouse, 45 km from Carrigleade Golf Course, as well as 4.9 km from Irish National Heritage Park.
Good base for travelling County Wexford. Sandy beaches (Curracloe, Rosslare and Carne) and indoor activities (Leisure Max and Cinema) not too far. If you feel like wandering through a historic town - Wexford has plenty to offer.
Plenty of places to eat if you did not want to BBQ at your Pod - Whitford House (great food and staff) and Mary Barry's (great food) particularly stood out.

Excellent accommodation with beautiful views of Wexford. Great walking trails from the property and lots of information from the host about where to go and what to see. Also only 15 minute drive from Wexford town.
