The private villa is quite big, big bathroom and big pool, I was amazed by its charging rate. The villa was clean and the plants were well trimmed. Friendly staffs. The butterfly park is actually located next to the villas. It's hard to complain anything, and I was wondered by many times here.

The peaceful that comes from the location, also makes certain things hard. Like having to always take a cab, anytime you wanted to leave the hotel or needed to have an app to order food to the Villa. Cause nothing is in walking distance.
But if I had to choose between the easy of all of that and staying in a busy Kuta/Seminyak area or the need for taxis for this quiet stay. I will always pick this area. I enjoyed the calm and quieter area.

It's a good place to travel around and see the Balinese culture and the art and their craft. Whether it is a little hot it's around 32C. Even tho its a rainy season it was pretty sunny during the day.

It is not as busy as other areas (like Kuta or Denpasar).
It is not as busy as other areas (like Kuta or Denpasar). The access to Ubud or the coast is quite easy. A lot of attractions nearby (especially if you are an animal or nature lover).
Some areas might be dirty because of burning the garbage at the streets.
Wow, Mandala Desa far exceeded all our expectations - we're still talking about how nice it was. Beautiful luxurious room and grounds, super friendly and helpful staff, and a delicious breakfast and other surprise treats. We were even able to buy a nice bottle of Bali wine which we enjoyed by the pool after a swim. If like us you don't have a vehicle, don't worry because it was quick and easy to get a GoCar from here to Ubud etc. I can't imagine a better place in the Sukawati area, at any price.
We used the hotel as a pit stop on one of our routes for a couple of nights and it was a lovely place to do so. The rooms are nice and have kitchens (which I can't imagine many people use, but they're nice to add space to the room!), lovely outside bathrooms and GREAT air conditioning. The staff were lovely and the hotel itself has everything you may want and the food was great. They also give you complementary water each day which was much appreciated.
The villa is an oasis in sukawati and we highly recommend to stay here. The rooms with own bathrooms are incredibly beautiful, comfy and quiet. The pool is wonderful and the whole villa is designed with love.
Staff is super friendly, the food is very yummy. This all makes the atmosphere perfect.
As well we need to mention that Gede is super helpful and friendly with recommendations and support planning your travels.
100% recommended
Very nice villa, spacious, with big and really comfortable private pool. We loved it!
Quiet place with rice fields around. Only 20 min drive from black sand beach, has some nice waterfalls around, and the butterfly park next door, free for those living in the hotel.
Very cute gekko coming out in the evening, and beautiful flowering tree in the garden.
Good price compared to the other hotels with private pool!
The best family vacation ever in bali. BALITRI truly accomodated us very well !.
The facilities are marvelous, beyond our expectations. Each room is designed with its unique taste and we got bonus to learn particular things about Baliness culture. We love the sauna area !!! And the staff was amazing. Thank BALITRI..., we will definitely come again in our next vacation.
Our family stayed at this hotel for one night in March 2022, and it turned out we were the first tourists in two years. Jan, the owner, provided us with a villa even though we had booked a room.
The villa was fantastic. Jan and the rest of the staff are very welcoming.
A must-visit! Especially if you want to go to the zoo early in the morning!
The owner and his son both went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
They offered us ideas on trips, helped us plan our days and treated us like we where the only tourists in Bali! Felt like a 5 star experience!
Thank you Wyan & Wisnu. Hope to see you both again!
Highly recommended!
Absolutely gorgeous spot. Now my new favorite place to land in Bali. Yes, it's a little outside of everything, but it's a cheap grab ride into Ubud, and honestly it's nice to be a little ways away from the traffic and crowds. I just left and I'm already missing it. Thank you so much for such a lovely retreat and sanctuary :)
The hotel was okay, seemed fairly new and modern and they had a very nice swimming pool out back. If you stayed in the rooms out back they had a nice view of Rice Terraces. The owner was very nice and sympathetic to my needs but he didn't understand me. The price was very low and that was one of the only good things.
Wayan is the best host I have met so far. We were two students travelling around Bali and he made sure we get the best experience out of it by arranging tours, drivers and even gave us practical suggestions after we left. The hotel itself is located in pretty quiet area and still has everything you need close by.
Obviously the main reason for coming here is to go to the Bali Zoo, it is literally right next door. Outside of that, there really isn’t too much else around the hotel. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable and on-site facilities were also good. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.
Room itself is HUUUGE. Large bathroom with open shower and soaking tub. Kitchenette with free bottled water provided (but only the still water). Included breakfast was very good. Immaculately clean, probably the cleanest hotel I stayed at in all of Indonesia.
Locally run, 3 villa setting with very welcoming and helpful host. Quiet and relaxing and about 15 minute walk from Sukawati center. Perfect for people who want to get away from the busy side of Bali and want to see the more traditional side.
Really nice hotel and would definitely stay here again! The pool area was lovely and the rooms were so big! Nice outside seating or to dry towels, clothes, etc! Also has a fridge which was nice!
A comfortable place to stay in Sukawati that includes an outside kitchen. The owner was responsive to issues that came up, such as a squeaky bathroom door.
Wonderful, comfortable and clean facility! We really enjoyed our stay! It was very convenient to visit Bali Zoo. Highly recommend, we’d love to go back!
