The Bungalows are very nice and well looked after. It’s such a comfortable and nice environment especially the family makes sure you feel the most welcome. They were so nice, looking after us, showing us around, truly a wonderful experience staying here. We only stayed one night as we were on our way down south but you could easily stay there for a long time to enjoy the Nature, the Village and the People !

Nice facilities and friendly staff. They go out of their way to give you a good experience.

It’s a home away from home, with your own private view and access of the valley. Rice terraces, waterfalls. A quick 5 min walk from monkey forest. The owner, his family, and pretty much the whole community are super hospitable and helpful.

The view is beautiful and it’s very peaceful. The staffs were very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless! The breakfast was decent too. It’s a good location, close by to some Warungs and also paddy fields, river + waterfalls. If you’re lucky you can see fireflies too.

The accommodation is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and rice paddies.

I loved my stay at this hotel. The room was large, new, clean and comfortable. The pool area is gorgeous with views of Mt Rinjani. Breakfast options are generous, and there is also a nice restaurant for lunch and dinner. Staff are super nice and helpful (a special shout-out to Tom for helping me with final payment, and Uncle for the spontaneous guitar concert over dinner one night, and fascinating chats.)

The owners seemed like lovely people. Ibu made me a delicious curry on the first night. The room rate is extremely cheap.

My goodness! We loved everything about Sama Sama Bungalows! Andi and his boys are just spectacular in every way. We felt entirely at home here, we really did feel like family! I am at home now in Australia and I miss being asked “how did you sleep mama?“ Andi took our family of 5 (three teenagers) out dirt bike riding in the jungle and his support and that of the rest of the boys was amazing! We just had the best experience! We loved it so much we decided to take the dirt bikes again the following day to the Benang Stokel and Benang Keambu waterfalls. WOW! What an exciting and spectacular day that was! I will never forget it! We were privileged to have Andi’s young son Adrien accompany us on the ride who despite language barriers got along so beautifully with our teens. Bob was our other guide for the day, again, another beautiful human being. We got to know and love everyone at Sama Sama including Andi’s family up at the monkey forest restaurant which serves spectacular food. We spent six nights here altogether and loved every moment. Not only are all the staff here friendly, genuine, caring people, Andi has created the most comfortable space to relax and enjoy the amazing views and jungle surroundings. There are bean bags, hammocks, elevated seating areas, banana lounges, and a pool. We have travelled a lot in Indonesia and Sama Sama Bungalows is unrivaled in our experience. I cannot praise it highly enough. Andi knows what travelers want and he delivers in spades! I can’t wait to come back here again and catch up with all our “family” again - Andi, Bob, Riki, Denny, Yudi, Juicy, Alli and we have to send a special hello to Andi’s little boy Ziat from “Cinderella”
