This is a stunning area of Bali with the Geopark and many attractions around. Totally different pace to Ubud and other parts of the south. Thoroughly enjoyed the change of scene and pace here, and as always the people are so nice.

Loved this area, so different to the many other areas we visited, perhaps because it is cold at night and hot in the day. Lush and wilderness feeling with stunning vistas of heights and mountains, lake and village. Surprisingly upmarket spas and cafes and accomodations. Multiple hot springs each more elaborate than the next. Loved the regular village life and agriculture going on everywhere. I was hesitant to put Kintamani in our 3 week itinerary but it was unique in Bali, spectacularly beautiful and that great mix of tourism convenience but with regular Balinese life going on all around you.

    Beautiful place!

Beautiful place! But it is bali.... so expect rubbish, lots of traffic and run down places. But no matter the look, the food was fantastic and so cheap at every place we went. This isn't a party place, but if you do plenty of activities during the day, hiking, bike riding, white water rafting ect youll be in bed early! The hot springs in town- Toya desa- run down charm but loved it! Has terrible reviews online but they seem to have fixed all those problems eg/plastic over the food and allowed refund of cash if you paid by cash (not entry ticket) to load up a token you use (handy cosyour constantly in the water) Massage wasn't great but facilities good. The other hot spring- great massage! But really bad facilities and pools. Mt butar is fabulous. Sunrise hike was incredible... but its extremely cold at the top, so bring warm gear. Beginners hike but it is a mountain so no thongs/flip flops. Great place to visit for 3-5 days.

It's very beautiful place, but a lot of fly and too cold in the night (take more warm clothers). Road from Amed was too hard for our old bike. Regina bali - very tasty restoran with fresh fish.

The best view that you can find in Asia. The people are nice, there are 3 ways to reach there are a lot of options. The police also actively manage the street to get rid of traffic. A lot of nice restaurants with the best view.

I would recommend to visit Kintamani for the coffee & the beautiful views of nature. Visit Volcano Batur for a hike to see the sunrise (bring hiking shoes, wind jacket, water, small breakfast & headlight, you are not allowed to do the hike by yourself, you pay for a guide).

Ampik Batur exceeded all my expectations for a memorable home stay experience. The breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, especially the majestic Batur volcano, left me in awe from the moment I arrived. The spacious room was a cozy retreat, providing the perfect blend of comfort and tranquility, and the owners' warm and friendly hospitality made me feel like I was part of their family throughout my stay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene and welcoming escape in the heart of Bali.

Room/sheets was clean Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant View from the room was beautiful No AC in room but surprisingly, it was warm even during the night Laundry service at the hotel was very convenient They advertise local prices and I couldn't agree more. All items at the accommodation were local prices Card Payment also a bonus, no need to worry about having enough cash for food and additional services offered by the place

during my trip in Bali. the only place that made me memorable was Bali cottages lake view. I really feel, all night I chatted with Joni, talking about each other's experiences, experiences that I had never had before. Thank you, Joni. WiFi works fine, good breakfast, normal hot shower in perfect bathroom while staying at the cottages, we also did the Batur tour, Joni managed it well. the price was also very commensurate with what we got during our stay here.

We loved the location and especially the view. Our Mountain View corner room gave incredible views of the mountain and lake. It was close enough to the market that we could get a quick Gojek. Also the hotel was able to book a private hike of Mt Batur to see the sunrise which was an incredible experience. Afterwards the hotel arranged a floating breakfast for us in their top floor heated infinity pool.

Perfect location for climbing Mt. Batur. Hot springs fed pool was pristine and with a lovely view. Loved how staff arranged guide for hiking the volcano which can be done onsite the night before. This was the highlight of our trip to Bali. Seemed like other trekkers just went up and back but we were offered options for longer loops circling the crater. We chose the middle option and highly recommend.

The view from the room is exceptional! You can see the lake and mountain view from the swimming pool. The villa is pretty small and so it felt very private (which is great!). Overall it was a nice experience to stay and I would recommend anyone this villa to stay around Kintamani area.
