Pakostane is a very calm and friendly village. Not crowded at all. There are some nice restaurants offering excellent food.
There are quite a few offerings for excursions around Murter and Kornati and to see some dolphins.

Its a small village with a lot of pebble beaches and pine forests. There're a lot of tourists during summer and everything is crowded, but you can still find a spot on the beach under a pine tree on on some rock. There're a lot of relaxation spots, restaurants and camps.
The village almost completely lacks public transport - there's just one bus stop on the Adriatic highway for intercity buses, and it's far from all the beach locations. If you get there without a car, you should be expected to walk a lot on your feet, and you'd notice that most streets don't have sidewalks.

Pakostane was a lovely town and had everything needed for a great holiday. Prices were very reasonable when eating or drinking out and lot's of choice. Great for renting boats/jet skies or wanting to try out water sports.

We were there during peak August season on a busy weekend. So the beach was very crowded and not great. It's suppose to be about 80% less crowded during off season. However, if you walk 15 minutes or take a bike, scooter, or car, you can get to some less crowded beach areas. Also if you rent a boat there are plenty of islands and coves to explore. I liked the town of Biograde nu moru better which is 15 minutes away, or Sibenik.

Rather small village but still with enough shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors and night life :).
Beaches - small stones, not always well rounded and quite close also big stones inhabited by sea urchins - be careful.
We liked it a lot there.
The apartment is spacious, more than fully equipped, comfortable and very well located, a few steps from the village center and the beach, but without the noise. The terrace is perfect for chilling and have meals outside. The apartment is perfectly clean and many thingss are brand new. The guests are very nice and friendly, offering numerous little attentions such as fresh fruit or homegrown lavanda. It's our 4th or 5th time in Pakostane, and compared to the others this is definitely the best accommodation we had!
This well-equipped apartment is located in a not-crowded area just 10 min walk from the beaches, and center of Pakostane (Janice beach, Punta Beach and Pine Beach Resort). At the center there is a small (Studenac) market, shops, plenty of restaurants, boat excursion selling points, small train which goes around 10 min at Pakostane, and there is a stop at Pine Beach Resort, Our car had a parking place, but we usually went by walk to discover the area. Bjanca was awesome. I absolutely recommend this accommodation!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are very nice and there are sanitary points close by, there's plenty of activities to do, and of course, plenty of time to relax. Paying with cards was not a problem, which was great. There was many food choices during the meals, and the food was properly thought out, so that there wasn't much waste. There's a small train going from the resort to Pakostane, which was very nice to experience. Zadar and Biograd are also very close by for a short trip.
We booked this lovely hotel before coming back from two weeks in Croatia and we loved it.
The restaurant makes you feel like you are in this medieval hall and the food was excellent. The staff was great from reception to restaurant, couldn’t ask for more.
The highlight was definitely the private jacuzzi, sauna and shower. It comes as an additional charge of 150 kunas each person for 1h30min, but it was totally worth it for the privacy and relaxation before a bottle of red wine at the bar.
Villa Daria is just a short walk from Pine Beach which is a private resort and you pay to get in. We didn't have a car so it was about 10-minute walk to the bus stop and to the public beaches and village centre. I chose Villa Daria because it had a pool for my children, however, if I was to go to Pakostane again, I would book a villa closer to the village centre and sea as we spent most of the time at the beach rather than by the pool.
Very nice accomodation in close vicinity of main beaches in Pakoštane. 100m to grocery, 100m to several restaurants, city centre just behind the corner.
Equipment is new, fitting well and the interior is tastefully furnished - bed and sofa both very comfortable for sleeping.
Outside is very nice garden and sheltered sitting place with grill, quite pleasant for breakfast or evening drink.
The apartment was well equipped with appliances and there was nothing I could think of that wasn't available for use. Aside from that, the caringly decorated interior distanced me from that typical apartment experience and made me feel at home from the get-go. Quiet nights in were as desirable as exploring Pakoštane and its plentiful surroundings.
Gorgeous appartment on the roof, very well equipped, spotless clean and comfortable, with every detail thought of to be practical and easy, it is really amazing to see such care for the guests. The host and her family are very friendly, and the little town of Pakostane very cute and quiet in June.
Great hosts and great apartment, enough for a family with 3 kids or two couples. It has got everything, washing machine, dishwasher, aircon, full kitchen, etc. Bit far from the sea, but in Pakostane that only means 10 minutes walking, and the neighborhood is quiet.
I highly recommend to stay here. We started for 12 nights and we didn't want to leave. Excellent location, approx. 5-10 mins to town center/beaches/supermarkets. It was really clean and nice place. Marina, the owner, is the nicest person we have ever met.
The host was very nice, always helpuf. Villa is about 400m from Pine beach (daily visitor's) entrance.
Apartment was big enough, with small kitchen, basically everything you'd expect in this price range.
Parking available in the property (around 4 spots)
The accommodation was fantastic - modern, clean and fully equipped. The location is in the centre of Pakostane, next to the church. Even though we were a little worried if the bell from the church wouldn't wake us up at night, it didn't happen.
Comfortable beach house with exceptional location direct on the Janice Beach. Incredible view to the sea. Very good equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven. Best place in Pakostane for young active family..
Super nice owners.
Very nice bungalows, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, great covered porch.
Beautiful sea view from the onsite restaurant.
Close to the center of Pakostane and to the beach.
Large parking.
The unique architecture of the hotel. Rooms are spacey, but view is open only to cobblestone courtyard, a bit too dark.
In general location and hotel is quiet, peaceful, charming.
Parking next to the hotel.
Hotel located in old building, but rooms are modern. . We had to leave early and the restaurant made a really nice breakfast box to take with us! The restaurant is very good.
Perfect location, beach is about 4 minutes. AC, nice view, new furniture and a nice guy owning the accomodation. Once I have my way nearby Pakoštane, I'll spend a night here.
