I was welcomed by the owners, and although I was early, my room was ready. The room was spacious and very clean, had 2 windows allowing cross ventilation & lots of natural light. The en suite bathroom was clean, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water after a 30 second warm-up. The bed was super comfortable (I have a bad back & so really need a good mattress). In the morning the owner directed me to a choice of two places for breakfast. The hotel is well situated for finding it, for walking through the tiny village, and for really quiet nights and mornings.

Our host was a very nice man and made our stay really great. We were allowed to sit on the patio upstairs in the garden and have some wine and watch the sun set. The property is 300 meters to town and we just really enjoyed all of it.

Very nice and large apartment. Good breakfast. In a very quiet area, small village in the interior of Istria. Good for biking and hiking, not far away from the coast and beaches.

Lucky Home is such a great stay! Host Jasmina is very welcoming and warm person, ready to help you with everything you need. Couldn't ask for more from a host. House itself has interesting and well thought interior design. It is located perfectly to be close to everything and to have peace, quiet and nice air in the evening. Overall, my wife and I were very happy and felt like home which is, besides cleanliness and warm welcoming host, very important. Definitely a place to come back to.

Grožnjan is one of the most beautiful villages I've ever seen. Hilltop location with gorgeous view over gentle hills with the sea tempting in the distance. You can hear violins and cellos practising in the day, while you explore the many art and craft shops and talk to the people who made what's in them. The restaurants make their own food, and you will sit on lovely, atmospheric terraces.
It should be so touristy but it just isn't. Even at the beginning of August, it was never packed, and visitors here are as laid back and civilised as the hosts. This place is an absolute must-visit.

A beautiful picturesque town with many hidden gems.
A beautiful picturesque town with many hidden gems. It's a must: sunset at the square with the view to the seaside or the sunrise and evening at the terrace at aModoMio restaurant, Grožnjan city wall, scrolling the town's labyrinth alleys, cycling La Parenzana route. It's easy to get around on foot. Have some nourishing local food at the Pintur place.

We did not get to Groznjan because the booking.com description of the location of our accommodation was totally wrong - 6 km away. This error did not give us time to go back to Groznjan to enjoy it. A very bad booking.com listing

Groznjan is a great place to stay if you want to stay in a quite and lovely city. Good location if you want to explore the rest of Istria. As we wanted to visit more places, we choose to stay there. We visited Umag, Porec, Hum, Motovon, but also Rovinj and Pula. It is a really small place with only one shop, so prepare groceries before coming to Groznjan if you'll stay longer. On the other hand, tere are 3 restaurants if you dont want to cook.

Historical village with great panorama. Regular concerts. Not too far away (with car, and not in rush hours) is nice beach in Strunjan national park (footpath next to Camp Belvedere) where you do not need bad shoes.

It's a tiny, charming old city full of artists and cute little shops and cafes. As it's on a hill, it offers gorgeous views of the valley. During the jazz festival, the city turns into an omnipresent jam session where talented young musicians are practicing with open windows, so the music embraces the entire city.
This place is such a wonderful little gem in Grožnjan. It is located just outside of the main hustle and bustle, but a quick walk to the village. It is a small room with everything you may need for a few days of stay (the kitchen was very well equipped), and the owner is such a nice man. He welcomed us with a glass of local wine and was very helpful. The private parking at the property is a great addition. We travelled with our dog and he was very much welcomed at no extra cost, and he had a great time with the owner's dog.
Host was very kind and friendly. We got the accomodation very late in the day, just 2 hours before we planned to come to Groznjan. I would definitely recommend the place. It was very clean, we even got coffee, tea and some jam and butter for breakfast. Welcoming domestic vine was really a surprise, we enjoyed it. Host told us about the history of Groznjan and how is it today, he was cute and humorous. Old town was just 2 mins walk from there. Will definitely book same place again when I visit Groznjan in the future!
The place is in the perfect location, and the house looks like it's from another world. You can feel the calmness throughout your body as soon as the night falls, and it's a perfect place to get some rest after exploring the unbelievable town of Grožnjan and it's surroundings.
The host left us parking tickets with access to resident only parking, which made everything easier.
I will be visiting again.
Jasmina is a very nice and warm host. The apartment was clean and fragrant. It can be seen that a lot of effort and love was invested in its renovation and arrangement. Outside, there is a nice terrace with a view of old Grožnjan, where you can drink coffee or mint tea (from the garden), eat breakfast/lunch. Nature is incredibly beautiful. We had a nice rest and recharged our batteries.
The property is in the very center of Grožnjan! The room was very clean, had a lovely view and also there was a nice common balcony to have your breakfast etc… The property is run by a very lovely couple (travelers themselves, in off season :) and we had a very nice chat. I was welcomed and nicely greeted and was offered a help with my luggage.
The location was perfect, right in the heart of Groznjan. The hosts were so kind, they greeted me right when I arrived, helped me store my bike, waved at me when they saw me around town, and recommended a delicious spot for breakfast. The room was also clean, well stocked, and quiet. So much value for the very reasonable price.
- located in beautiful rural landscape with olive groves, wineyards and historical cities (Groznjan 20 minutes by walk), still 20 minutes by car from the seashore
- perfect for holidays with little baby (we were there with our 4 months old son)
- amazing view from the terrace towards the Mirna river valley
- very kind owners
Cosy appartement, Luana is lovely and helpful host. Place has all amenities for a comfortable stay, fully equipped kitchen, cosy terrace surrounded by the pine trees, overlooking vineyard and olive tree garden. Very close, 10 minutes walking distance, to Grožnjan, and short ride by car to the coast and Motovun.
Very nice and well located B&B to visit Grožnjan, Motovun and other places in this area. We had the room at the top, can be warm in the summer. The room was fine and could accommodate 4 people, had a fridge, fan and a TV. They have a delicious buffet breakfast and their restaurant cook great food. Great value!
The workers were very helpful and friendly and spoke English well. Casual, relaxing place. Easy to find, near groznjan and wineries. Excellent restaurant with beef, pasta, truffles. Great buffet breakfast. Very nice outdoor terrace. Quiet at night. Interesting old building.
The location was wonderful, right in the center of Grožnjan. The House has a beautiful patio, perfect for breakfast or a glass of wine at night. If you like not to be bothered by the host, this is a great choice; you will have no contact whatsoever with them.
Groznjan is a very cute village full of history. It's vibrant in the evening with music everywhere. The house is old and definitely has character but the flaws that come with age should have been mentioned too.
We enjoyed staying in Grožnjan while exploring Istria. Hotel is remodeled and comfortable. Staff ( Katja) is amazing, she is friendly, professional, courteous and helpful.
Amazing place for everyone who seeks for peace and quiet, in an authentic Istrian house and soroundings! Hosts are very friendly and Grožnjan is the best place in Istria!
