We really enjoyed the location, as it is in the Zagora village yet it is secluded. Very friendly owners and the apartment has a warm and cozy feel and was well represented on the pictures. Waking up in the morning with breathtaking views, as well as lighting up the beautiful fireplace were a real joy! It was well equipped in the kitchen and the living room had books to read, games to play... Outside there is parking availability and various areas one can explore, as well as sit whether it is on a bench or the small Amphitheatre they have built.
There are three adorable and extremely friendly cats on the property; the orange one is Rosetto, the darker one is his brother Sakis and the last one is called Graupunkt (Gray dots). Rosetto will definitely be visiting you in the morning and in the evening! They are very well behaved and simply demand cuddles.

In the southern part of the village of Tsagkarada, on a hill overlooking the sea and the village, is the Diogenis Hotel.
The hotel is built in a rustic style and the rooms are really pampering. We rented a triple room and a double room. Both were beautifully designed. The double bed is designed as a four-poster bed. The interior design of the rooms is even more beautiful than the photos on the website.
Chrisa and her husband (the owners of the hotel) run it at the highest level.
We felt it was not just a hotel but a home.
Chrisa and her husband helped with every request and question, spoiled us beyond any expectation. Always made sure we felt comfortable and safe.
The beds are big (even for tall people like me) and the mattresses are very comfortable.
The breakfast served is just great. The fresh bread baked every morning, pies, omelets, salads, spreads, cakes, cold and hot drinks and more. Everything from fresh and high-quality raw materials. Definitely at a higher level than breakfasts in 5-star hotels.
The whole hotel and the rooms in particular are very clean.
The location of the hotel is excellent for anyone who comes with a car because there is a lot of parking (unlike in the villages), especially for a large car.

A very pleasant and lovely stay! Mrs. Lena & Mr. Dimitris, as well as their lovely staff, made us feel at home. They are the most perfect hosts! The breakfast was amazing! A wide variety of so very fresh, homemade goodies - different ones every day- were served in the morning on the picturesque terrace with breathtaking views of the sea, the mountain and the gardens. Everything was so neat, clean and tidy.

Zagora is a lovely village, however, due to its location far away from Volos, as well as its harsh history during the years of the Turkish occupation, it is less 'touristy' and certainly not as picturesque as some of the other villages of the Pelion. There is definitely a 'ruggedness' to the village. I would recommend visiting Zagora for a day or two, and certainly seeing the library, the Ellinomuseio, and the four churches (Agia Paraskevi, Agua Kiriaki, Agios Georgios, Sotira). In the summer, it is also worth visiting Chorefto beach. The best months to visit Zagora weather-wise are from May to September. I visited for two weeks in late October - the average high was about 12°C and while it didn't rain it was cloudy 95% of the time.

Zagora is a big village which, unlike a lot of Pelion villages, is not over-run with tourists. You can get the bus or drive to Chorefto Beach which is pretty stunning. We enjoyed exploring the village.

It is not so accessible so there are not hordes of tourists.
It is not so accessible so there are not hordes of tourists. It is a perfect family vacation for those that like the comfortable simple slow life with lovely nature, spacious beaches, great food and the outstanding hospitality of the Greek population in the region.
The location, in the mountain town of Zagora, was perfect, close to the main square and a short walk away from restaurants and stores. Our host, Anna, was the best, so kind and flexible, going out of her way to help us sort out bus tickets and taxis and taking care to meet us with the key, even though we were unexpectedly late. The apartment has been beautifully refurbished and is the utmost in comfort. We were very happy here.
The building is arranged in a beautiful style and with love for small details. Mrs Victoria is an artist. Our room was absolutely clean, equipped with a kitchenette to cook small dishes. The apartments are close to the center of Zagorá which is a bit spread in the hillside. Summarized the place is a pretty good choice, with an amazing sea view, nice service and furniture. And the best Pelion sunrise!
A beautiful guesthouse in a beautiful location near the center of the village of Zagora. Magnificent views down into the valley. Everything was charming and clean, the service friendly and helpful. The accommodation didn't serve breakfast, but we got coffee with cookies, and we could also cook breakfast in the guest house's kitchen.
Everything is very well organized, the house is spacious and clean, welcoming and friendly hosts. The house is new, equipped with everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. A place that should not be missed if you come to Greece!
The location in the center of Zagora was excellent. The room itself was well-equipped, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and even did our laundry for us (for a fee). Breakfast was huge and delicious.
Perfect location for visits to the beautiful Zagora region, on the road to Chorefto (beach) but still close to the centre of Zagora. Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful host.
Lovely place to stay! We enjoyed our three nights there very much. Wonderful private pool with great views. Close to the center of the village. The Pelion is a stunning place!
The rooms are very big and all the hotel is new and renovated.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
Very clean.
It is perfect for exploring the east north side of Pelion.
Beautiful building, amazing staff, incredible breakfast.
Be sure to eat at Niki's taverna, and to ask Giorgios (tho hotel owner) for his recommendations for what to see.
The location is fantastic, the room and the hotel facilities are just great and above all - the hospitality level
and the personal care of the stuff are extraordinary!
