Perivolos has the best beach I've seen in Santorini.
Perivolos has the best beach I've seen in Santorini. It is sandy and doesn't have any big stones on the entrance to the water. It gets very deep in the water very fast. There are many lovely bars and restaurants, and it is easy to reach either by car or by bus from Fira. Great relaxing vibe. Wonderful food & drinks at reasonable prices. Great beach which is deep as soon as you walk in. Perfect weather & water temperatures in August when we stayed there. A massage on the beach was WONDERFUL. Food & drinks service from your sunbed. The black sand didn't bother me, at least it has sand and not stones & rocks!CherylAustralia - 10Scored 10
Perivolos is a good place if you want to be close to the...
Perivolos is a good place if you want to be close to the beach and in a quiet area. But there are not many shops around that you can walk to quickly, so a car is needed to get to bigger supermarkets and bakeries. It's possible to take the bus to Fira but can be very crowded. You can book taxis to get around but they are not cheap, 35-40 euros one way to Fira.

Other than the beach which we did not like and the restaurants right out the back of the hotel, there was nothing you can walk to. We had to take car service wherever we wanted to go. We spent a lot of money on cars.

The gardens were beautiful and the pool was lovely. Perissa/Perivolos is the best place to stay on Santorini. More relaxed, great food and drink, lots nearby. The hotel had a connection with a restaurant that provided free sunbeds and had great food. Rented an ATV in town to sightsee around the island. Parking was free. Shuttles were not free but was affordable and arranged through the hotel and the service was great. Would absolutely stay again!KatieCanada

Go visit the sunrise in the morning it is equally beautiful as a sunset in Oia. Take a swim in the sea and many options for water sports on the beach. Take a left turn on the beach road and visit Perissa beach as well at night (beautiful restaurants). The front office person was super welcoming and always wanted to help. The beautiful beach was right in front of the hotel, and they have great lounge chairs and umbrellas for the guests. Rooms were very clean and beds comfy. The best part of the Sea View is the staff. Kostas, Adonis, and George were so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel pampered and relaxed. Fira and Oia were only a 45 min drive. Highly recommend hiking the 10km path from Fira to Oia. Views are breathtaking, and if you time it right, you can see the sunset in Oia.SheriUnited States
