Morfeas Guesthouse, hotel in Papigko

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Morfeas Guesthouse is a guest house set in a historic building in Papigko, 6.4 km from Monastery of Panagia Spiliotissa.

Great stay at Morfeas, as the name so cleverly suggests we relaxed and fell in deep sleep thanks to remote character of the location. The host is one of the friendliest ladies, offers tour around the house and a most rich breakfast - we were 2 people and unable to consume all of it! Strongly recommend for a stay of relaxation, especially if one is looking for a place to disconnect without laptop and gazing at Vikos mountains from the balcony

Papigko is a beautiful village, cobbled streets with quaint shops, bars and restaurants and stunning views of surrounding mountains. The only disappointment was that it seems in mid-September many bars and restaurants seem to close for at least a week break (some maybe a little longer). We were informed it was a break before the autumn/winter season starts. However there was still some places to eat and drink so all was ok. Lots a walking trails around for keen hikers. Well worth a visit to this Village, you would not be disappointed.

we visited during summer and it was the busiest village of Zagoria which made it more socializing than others. Also it has cute coffee shops and tavernas almost every corner. It also has access to multiple good hiking routes as well as springs and lake so you dont have to travel far to access hiking paths if you are short in time or dont want to do another adventurous car ride up in the mountain.

There are tons of things to do in and around Papigko.

There are tons of things to do in and around Papigko. From the walks around the picturesque village, to exploring the culinary experiences on offer, to the serene hikes and the Papigko rock pools. Before reaching Papigko, be sure to stop on the banks of the Boithomatis river and have a dip in the cold waters on a hot summer's day. The place is equally as breathtaking in the winter as it is in the summer. The air is clean it almost has a taste to it from all the lovely flora and fauna. Don't miss out, go there and you will find welcoming locals and memories to last you a lifetime.

Location was good at the entrance to Papigo. The Villa is super nice and super clean. Beds were just wonderful!! The host is very kind and responsive. There was no breakfast and we didn’t know that in advance and there was no place to buy ingredients when we figured this out. We had issue with one of the toilet rooms so we couldn’t use it. Nevertheless there were 3 in total so it wasn’t a big issue. Some basic ingredients were missing like salt. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay and have many memories from our stay. Many thanks!!

The location is astonishing and the hotel was fitting just right into it. Combining the traditional architecture with modern design and cozy interiors. Our room was a studio with fire place, a double bed and a couch. The use of the spa with sauna and a swimming pool was just amazing! The breakfast was gorgeous and generally the food in the restaurant was very tasty. Try the tagliata, it is worth it! The personal was very kind and helpful. They transported our luggage and took along me and our small kid up to the hotel.

The couple here was so friendly and kind. It's a beautiful traditional guesthouse located in a picturesque village. The breakfast was excellent. The pastry served at breakfast was one of my favorite things I ate during my trip to Greece. I can't recommend this place enough. I would definitely stay here again! Note: Park at the bottom of the village and walk up to the guesthouse. There are signs as you go through the village and it was easy to find.

Amazng place! Perfect for families. I stayed here with my husband and 1.5 year old - it was absolutely perfect. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious; the staff delightful; and the view from the hotel is beyond gorgeous. Plus, there is a great restaurant on the premises (breakfast included is amazing!!) which was convenient for us when we wanted a relaxed evening with our tired kid. To sum up, this place is a gem!
