Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.
Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

We liked the pool and beach view from our room.
We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands.
Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep.
Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
Hotel breakfast staff are really nice.
The gym is bit small and around the hotel very few activities as there only 2-3 restaurant and only one small shop available. Nearest supermarket is about 50min walk.
Also, if you don’t have a car then getting to Athens is not easy by using public transport as you have to take a bus and then underground. The bus service is not good as they don’t seem to run according to a particular timetable. Most of the time we had to wait 30-50min by the bus stop and then bus journey to nearest underground another 50min.

From the airport, it takes 20-25 min.
From the airport, it takes 20-25 min. Cost by taxi is €40, which should taken under consideration when booking for justba stopover. However, from the airport to Athens is €45-50 and very close 4* hotels seems not to be if checking via Booking.com
Kristen, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. The property is new and spotless clean, one of the best we ever stayed at in Greece. Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing patio garden. Pity we were there only for few hours overnight to catch an early plane, so we didn't get to explore the area or the beach. One amazing restaurant nearby. Very quiet being in a residential area surrounded by fields but 12mins away from the beach. We'll definitely go back if we happen to be in that area again.
There was ample food and choices
Please make sure your room has breakfast included because lady in room questioned us and was a bit confused sue to not speaking English and we had to clarify with front desk ..they handled it by having us pay separately at front desk ..lady in restaurant didn’t know what to do except say “NO BREAKFAST” which was a bit concerning because listing on info is a bit confusing “says breakfast buffet at hotel” clarify before making the reservation $12 Eur. If not included.
The room was extremely spacious - we had a two bedroom suite - excellent for our needs? Lovely surprise upon our arrival with the sparkling wine and the chocolate cake. Water in the fridge - thank you! Slippers and more than enough body wash and shampoo. All really lovely "little" things that make such a difference. Beds, super comfy! On the day we arrived, winds were super strong so we could not enjoy anything outdoors to the hotel but can't help mother nature.
We would like to thank the most kind and professional staff of the lovely Ramada Hotel in Athens - Matti Beach. Clean rooms, delicious food, stunning view! We took all inclusive and it was lovely. Always asked if we needed anything? It was important to them every day to know that everything was fine. a winning team!!! Located in the Ramada Hotel!!! We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
The location of the hotel is on the beach in Mati, Athens and close to the airport. The staff was exceptional: even providing early check-in, polite service and opened up their incredible breakfast buffet at 3:45 am for us before we left at 4:00 am The small pool and poolside bar was a welcome break from a long car ride to get to Athens. There are many restaurants and bars nearby.
I was given a more modern and comfortable room than my first stay at this property. Also, the person at the desk was very helpful with a last-minute taxi need. The hotel is located on the sea, with easy access to stick your feet in the water if you have time and the weather cooperates. The pool looks nice, though I didn't get a chance to use it because of a tight schedule.
First of all the views are amazing both the mountain side and the sea view it’s very relaxing and scenic!
The rooms are spacious with a very good size.
The fact that the fact that the hotel has its own beach access was great and convenient for us.
Also there was a mini market across the street that made buying snacks, water and drinks very convenient for us.
Loved the location; close enough to Rafina Port and the Airport. Perfect base camp for exploring Greece; lots more to this great country than Athens which is not far away as well.
The hotel is comfortable and the staff is welcoming! As stated in numerous reviews, they do go out of their way to accommodate you.
I was visiting family in Nea Makri before my long flight back to Canada.
This was my second time staying at this hotel. I was very happy and impressed when I arrived several hours early from Monemvasia and they had my room ready for me!
Thank you to the amazing staff at Cabo Verde.
Staff is friendly and helpful, rich breakfast and restaurant very good. The rooms are comfortable, pool very clean and sunbeds comfortable. Great stop for our last days in Greece as it’s close to the airport (30 min by car). Would recommend to everyone!
Only about 20 minutes from the airport it was easy to get to for a one night layover in Athens. The pool looked nice though I arrived too late to swim. The view and sound of the ocean was lovely. The patio was great.
Every thing about this charming hotel , the location was exceptional for beach walks and a dip in the crystal clear waters the staff were friendly and the food was amazing I didn't want to leave.
The check-in was super fast and the room comfortable. We stay only one night before departing from Athens. Also we really appreciate the courtesy at the room incluing a bottle of local wine.
Beautiful hotel in a stunning location.
Great restaurant and helpful, friendly staff.
Beautiful views of the ocean and sunrise.
Beautiful outside area and pool.
