The area along the water is quaint and lovely. Beautiful for walking. Note that cafes are open during the day but dinner options, most restaurants do not open until 7:30 or 8 or even later. The scenery is stunning as was the drive there.KatinaGreece - 6.0Scored 6.0

OK place for a short stop, but not an ultimate holiday destination when it comes to the seaside. A few nice things to explore around Aigio (a gorge, a few nature spots, etc) make it a decent intermediate stop.

It fit my needs, which was a safe, clean place to stay to recover from a long travel time, and rest, before moving on with the rest of my trip. Aigio and surrounding areas were picturesque and quaint.

By train from the airport takes 3 hours (3 trains but very easy) and then a 10 minute taxi into the town. By coach from the airport about 50 minutes into Athens and then 2hrs 15 into the centre of Agios. By coach is cheaper. A lovely town with lovely views. The beach is a walk down several sets of stairs if you stay up by the square. Several beaches nearby that you can get to by bus. The beaches are shingle and stone but picturesque. You can get a coach into Patra, Greece’s 3rd largest city and walk up all the steps to the beautiful castle ruins and look out over the seaAAnonymous - 10Scored 10
