The room was nice and clean, new and well thought out and next to the owners house. It was on a quiet estate and as a single traveller I felt quite safe.
There were even a couple of chocolates with the coffee facilities, a nice touch!

To short a visit to offer a fair opinion.
To short a visit to offer a fair opinion. Convenient for both Westonbirt and Slimbridge, and a short visit to Tetbury was enjoyable. The room was adequate for sleeping but not to sit and read quietly.

The room was ok.
The room was ok. I wasn't overly keen on the walls showing wear/tear. The bathroom was to die for! I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the room. It was obvious that cleaning was a high priority in the rooms as other parties also said their rooms were very clean. Check in was super friendly and breakfast the next morning was so good! Honestly a great portion size and nothing was too much trouble for our server. Check out was simple and easy to do. I would be happy to stay again. The bed was super comfy and my partner and I slept really well.

Location is okay to rail station, although you have to wait for trains to Yate at Bristol Parkway.
No Taxi services! Can't get through to book cab (number given doesn't work) then if you somehow do get connected they keep saying they are booked and provide no solution, your pretty much stranded especially at night time - dangerous!
Not ideal for evening food, since the town centre walkway is closed off, you have to take a detour with no signage (remember this isn't easy for someone travelling by foot).
Luckily there is a wetherspoons which serves food until midnight (very useful). There is a Tesco 24h(?) but 'looked' empty / closed so not applicable.

This hotel is NOT in Yate and this causes a lot of confusion! Stop location things by reference to the postal town! Use the name of the actual village, Old Sodbury in this case.
The road through Old Sodbury unfortunately has a lot of road noise at the junction where the hotel is located; traffic lights results in revving of engines early on in the day and some motorbikes and cars use the road as a race track route to the M4.
Located just north of the M4 at the junction on the A46 to Chipping Sodbury. Hotel has plenty of free parking. Free WiFi. Comfortable room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the lady serving breakfast. Decent food in the evening and good hot breakfast, served from 07.00am. Would recommend this hotel.
We have stayed quite a few times when visiting family in the area . Have always been made to feel welcome. There's a always a friendly face to welcome you at reception. Facilities are very good and rooms we've stayed in comfortable and clean. Cross hands hotel is always our no.1 choice.
Location was convenient for me while I was visiting family in Yate. Quiet, had everything I needed. Well equipped apartment and Sue provided all those little extras, like dishwasher liquid, which you don't usually find in rented accommodation . Bathroom large and functional.
Lots of little extras in the room like books, games, toiletries, teas and coffees, fruit bars and a nice hot cross bun with it being Easter weekend :-). Ideally placed to use Yate Park & Ride as well. Lovely little garden and conservatory to just relax in.
Charming building with a well equipped room. The whole hotel has a lovely character and security is good with electric code doors. Plenty of parking. Restaurant underneath is fabulous. Excellent value for money.
