This was our second stay at Pantile Lodge. It is an ideal half way stop from Yorkshire to Perthshire Scotland. The double room was warm and spacious. There is a magnificent set of welcome goodies: crisps, chocolate, assorted biscuits such as Blue Riband or KitKat etc. A coffee maker with pods as well as tea, fresh milk and instant coffee, water, ginger beer and cloudy lemonade will satisfy every thirst. Everything was clean and comfortable, especially the sofa. The absolute best part of a stay here has to be breakfast. My partner and i have healthy appetites but we had to ask for small portions of the yoghurt and berries or porridge. The cooked breakfast lacks nothing: quality bacon and sausage; eggs however you like them, excellent black pudding; tomatoes, mushrooms and beans, and any amount of toast, butter and jam/marmalade. Fruit juice is also available. It's a great start to any day. Parking is outside the access to the Lodge and there is a private sitting area just outside the door should the weather be kind.
The owners can't do enough to ensure you have everything you might need.
Thoroughly to be recommended!

Beautiful Georgian house, with large well maintained grounds. We stayed in one of the suites, which consisted of bedroom with super-king bed, bathroom with a gorgeous rolltop bath and large separate shower, and a sitting room. Handy having a fridge in the room as I have medicine that must be kept cold. It was quiet and peaceful, and with the comfy bed, we slept really well. Breakfast had lots of choices and all very well cooked. Michelle couldn't do enough for us and made us very welcome. Easy drive to Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Sea Houses and Alnwick. Lots of local pubs to eat in. We loved our stay here.

Wooler has a coop and budgens which were handy for shopping.
Wooler has a coop and budgens which were handy for shopping. However no takeaway food nearby and at least 10 miles from the coast. However if you don't mind that it is a great place to stay and only 10 miles from the Scottish Borders.

Wooler is nice little town, it has its own whiskey and gin distillery which is definitely worth a visit. There is a lovely Italian restaurant named Milan and a couple of pubs which also serve food. I believe there is also another restaurant which will be opened later this year too.
There are lots of lovely walks and other villages and towns close by, although you do need a car to get around.

Wooler is a quaint, small village/town with beautiful surroundings. I would recommend if you like walking, there were lots of walks from or near Wooler that look lovely, we went on one at Ingram up the valley there which was delightful.
Wooler is also well-situated for travelling to other places in Northumberland such as Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Seahouses, and Alnwick, all around a 30-40 minute drive away.
We really enjoyed Milan Restaurant which had a wide selection of tasty food. We also enjoyed The Black Bull Inn for a couple of pints and games of pool in the evenings.

We visited to attend a Vinduro event in Lilburn.
We visited to attend a Vinduro event in Lilburn. We go to Wooler a lot. It's a lovely little town. Great gift shops and the charity shops had some brilliant finds in. The Angel pub is really good. Great atmosphere especially on bingo night. Cafes and takeaways good. Its a shame they shut so early though. The Milan restaurant is exceptionally good.

Wooler is a ideal as a base for travelling round.
Wooler is a ideal as a base for travelling round. We had days out at Craster walking to Newton and back, Seahouses walking to Bamburgh and back, gardens and National trust places. Just away for a few days but have visited area before. Plenty of places and Wooler ideal to come back after a day out to eat, drink or just chill. Ate at Milan restaurant.... excellent but book. Also pub nextdoor to where we stayed, Noble Lands. Can recommend. Excellent value for money.,
Prompt check-in; booked a room online and was able to get the keys (remotely) immediately. Comfortable room with Waffle Robes and rain shower. Nice quiet location near the Milan restaurant. Central to the middle of Wooler and a good base for exploring the area or a short overnight stopover. The room had cutlery and crockery so you could have easily eaten in if you wanted, and even had dishwashing liquid to tidy up! Plenty parking on the street if the car park to the rear is full.
Stayed on the way to our daughter's wedding in College Valley. Perfect spot in lovely Wooler. Halfway between the pub and a super Italian restaurant, which does takeaways too. Comfortable bed, good shower, bath robe nice touch. We were with a party in the apartment above which is excellent too, kitchen and table etc so we were able to all eat our takeaways together which was nice. Thoroughly recommended.
Hill Garth Cottage is in a great location for exploring the local area and had everything we needed. Literally a minutes walk from the centre of Wooler and 5 mins walk to the excellent Ad Gefrin Distillery. Half an hour drive to Alnwick and Bamburgh. Loved our stay here - well equipped kitchen and lovely comfy beds. All furnished a high standard. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend.
lovely holiday home that was furnished & equipped to an excellent standard. It was a really good size too in a great location for hill walking, the stunning beaches, castles & villages. There’s also a couple of excellent restaurants in Wooler as well as take away & pubs. We only ate breakfast at the cottage so tried them all for evening meal!
The location was ideal for the Northumberland area, Wooler is a nice town with all the required shops and a walk to Budgens,
The property has a well equipped kitchen, off road parking, garden space, comfy sofas lots of original fittings/beams etc, good Smart TV, DVD (although we couldn't get it to work!), log burner
I’m a self employed courier and sometimes need a hotel when I’m travelling long distances, I booked this after passing and was very glad I did. The welcome of staff and locals was brilliant, I’m a light sleeper but no need to worry as it was so peaceful thanks for a wonderful stay and excellent breakfast.
A superb B&B in a great location. Only 20 minutes walk along a country road into the town of Wooler where there are pubs restauraunts and take aways to suit all tastes. The Hemmel is a lovely quiet location run by Steve and Maddie who offered an exceptiional service including a fantastic breakfast.
Large, spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom in a quiet and beautiful historic building. Delightful hosts and the best breakfast you could possibly imagine, all served on immaculate linen tablecloths. Only a 5 min walk to downtown Wooler where there’s a well stocked co-op. Highly recommend!
Nice hotel in a lovely town close to the border with England and Scotland, so ideal for exploring Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Good choice of dishes on the menu for dinner and the breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep.
It was a perfect place to stay for two nights. Everything was nice and comfy. Coffee and tea makings were provided. The view looking over the garden and down across the hill was beautiful. It was just a few minutes walk into the heart of Wooler.
The location was perfect as it was in the pretty village of Wooler.
The cottage was self catering and breakfast, lunch and evening meal were available at The Tankerville Arms next door. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
Lovely cottage. Spacious & homely. Yummy biscuits, tea & coffee provided on arrival. Instructions on how to use everything included around the house, and a wealth of information on the local area provided.
Room was nice, Parking was right outside room, Only thing is hotel need to extend the timing for breakfast. 1 hour window for breakfast is very little, had to go cafe next door which was not a bad idea.
Lovely spacious room, big bathroom/wet room. Very clean, well stocked tea and coffee tray. Plenty of plug sockets and a large TV. Lovely seating area. Well lit.
