Set in a quiet street with parking right outside the door. There were pubs and shops within walking distance. Perfect for Monkey World or the Tank Museum (5 minute drive). The bedroom was small, but cosy and it was really good to have the separate lounge. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. The rooms had everything that we needed. We were only there for one night, but it would be ideal for a longer stay or for anyone working in the area.

The Countryman Inn is a family-run pub and bed and breakfast in the heart of Hardy Country, in East Knighton. A large car park is available.

The host - and poppy the dog - were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It's fair to say the place is unique and quirky in it's decor but certainly interesting. There was a a nice bathroom and shower and and extra loo outside of the bedrooms but basically next door so although not en-suite it wasn't miles down a corridor.

The staff there are the most wonderful, always friendly, always with a smile. The pub downstairs had a lovely selection. We had dinner there twice, both times very nice. Big portions, reasonably priced. Breakfast was simple but effective. If you want something exotic, find it elsewhere I'd say. The surrounding area is very tranquil. We spotted some deer and squirrels nearby.

Lovely room and bathroom! Nice place to have a pint and a lovely dinner. Nearby coastpath and the jurassic coaster stops in front to bring us home.

The hotel although situated on a hill with a climb up is in a stunning location overlooking the distant hills and part of the quaint village. The room and bed were comfortable. The staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The breakfasts wonderful in the range of choice. Lovely place.
