Everything was great. We had a fabulous time. The room, the staff, the bar, the location and particularly the Spa. It really was better than we'd hoped. We cannot wait to go again.

We stay at The Harvard Inn every time we visit this part of Essex, where we lived for 30 years. Good location for us to visit friends. Convenient to get into London via Billericay or Shenfield stations. Rooms are very clean, beds way too hard for us, but probably suit many others. Staff all lovely and helpful. Breakfast is very good but we’d prefer option of either no breakfast, or just a croissant/pastry & coffee 😊 Meals in the restaurant have been excellent every time we’ve eaten there.

All was prepared as on the photos. Someone mentioned about school nearby and problems related to that. The school is 3-5 min walk from the house. I had no problems with traffic jams or parking. Everything was ok.
Booking.com should take it off their list. I have got bad asthma because the room smelt damp.
Blinds wouldn't shut.
The bathroom was freezing as windows wouldn't shut. The bathroom radiator didn't work. Thick dust on the bedside table on the bottom shelf. Very dangerous broken glass shades on wsll lights. Tea etc was just thrown on yhe table. No coffee. What would i avoid on my next trip? The hotel itself

Don't be fooled by the pics, this place is horrendous.
I was sandwiched between 2 asylum seekers - why not house them away from the paying guests?
No food, no drink and completely out the way.
Bloke at reception finished his personal call before he let me check in.

Wickford was a close location to where my final destination was going to be, convenient only mileage wise, but not it's location!! Wickford is a small little town, a few shops, take aways, not a holiday destination, for anyone who is after a holiday feel
Location was great for a wedding in another location.
Breakfast was very limited and already set out when we checked in around 6pm with croissants covered over. The hotel wasn’t busy and hence no breakfast was being served.
Not a single thing. Had to wait half our to check into my room .
Very untidy to the point as you walk into the hotel it looked like it haven’t been cleaned in months. Cob webs all over ect. No food available also
food was good, breakfast was excellent
the decor was very nice and the hotel has been very well renovated
Service from waiting staff was very good and they were very friendly
room was clean with a nice view
The receptionist was pleasant, very welcoming on first arrival (young lady). The location was great for me, personally, with me having meetings in Wickford and Chelmsford.
