The bathroom was fine with a good shower. The room overall was okay but much too hot, the radiators were off but it had two hot pipes running through it. We had to have the window wide open day & night to try & cool it down. The room faced the main road & two busy pubs so it was quite noisy until the early hours with music & chatter!

We stayed at Deverill Inn B&B for five nights and used it as our base of operations for touring Avebury, Stonehenge, Winchester, Bath, Stourhead, Lacock, and Salisbury. This worked perfectly for us. Our hosts were helpful, respectful of our needs, and informative. Our room was confortable and well-kept. The garden is immaculate - a labor of love; framing the lower edge of a fantastic view across farmland, plain, and hill. I ended every evening on the patio on the swing sipping a single malt, watching the changing shades and hues cast by the setting sun. And the English breakfasts were highlighted by homemade jams and compotes.
Nestled in the quiet Wiltshire village of Upton Scudamore, The Angel Inn is a beautifully restored 16th century coaching inn.

From the very warm welcome from Nicki as we arrived paved the way for our overnight stay.
The room was exceptionally clean with lovely touches such as the chocolates on our towels to the complimentary fizz in the mini fridge.
The continental breakfast was plentiful and a refreshing change from the usual fry up offered.
Nicki was friendly and helpful - it felt like we had known her for years.
If Nicki and Tim were running a hotel it would definitely be a 5star one.
We would recommend this fab B&B to anyone staying in the area.

Great for walking and cycling - peaceful location. Small market town with several supermarkets and local shops. Nice walk around Nature Reserve and lake. Best walks up into the fields beyond the railway line - especially in the winter snow.

We visit this hotel annually when we go to Longleat which is very close. We love the character. This year we had a family room which gave us masses of space. Free parking. Wetherspoons breakfast downstairs, 2 bottles water, chocolate as well as tea and coffee in room. Love the secondary double glazing which doubles as fridge for water and juice. Very quiet on top floor.

Easy to park near the high Street. Spent 2 hours walking around shops and local area. Followed a 'blue plaque' walk we downloaded. We thought this was a nice old town to potter around before visiting relatives nearby.

Lovely Hotel with very friendly, polite staff.
Lovely Hotel with very friendly, polite staff. Great location with lovely grounds. Very quiet and tranquil Hotel and not far from shops etc if you require them. I will definitely go back again for a nice relaxing break.
Front of house staff were welcoming and amicable offering details of what to expect and to do both in the hotel and the surrounding towns and villages.
Breakfast options were excellent, providing a wide variety of cereals, fruits as well as the normal hot fried breakfast together with limitless toast and hot tea and coffee. The kitchen staff were excellent being welcoming and amicable.
All of the staff were were amicable and very helpful both in the hotel and spa areas.
The Angel Inn is a very nice place to explore the region, with a perfect situation in between Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury and the nice Wiltshire landscape. The very old house does have a nice ancient charme. The stuff is nice and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful and the restaurant serves good meals at the end of a tiring vacation day. We very lucky: the chamber was huge. The location is calm.
What a great place.
As soon as we walked in we were in love.
Beautiful room and the most comfy bed ever !!!
Breakfast was delicious ,fresh and nothing was too much trouble.
Perfect location for Longleat holiday.
Warminster offers nice restaurants and shops too in a short distance.
Natallia is so lovely and makes you feel really welcome.
We have stayed in Room 8 and we will return for sure.
Wow! What a little hidden gem! We was not expecting the cottage to be as amazing as it was! everything and I mean EVERYTHING has been thought about to cater for everyone. Everything was so fresh, clean & comfy - it really was like a home from home. Cannot recommend granary cottage enough and when we are coming back to the area, we will definitely be booking into granary cottage again.
I was pleasantly surprised and really impressed. It was raining really hard and the only annoying thing was having to go outside to get back in to the breakfast area. Staff were helpful, room was top notch and equivalent to a 4 star business hotel, so great. Well done, I will use it again and hopefully other Weatherspoon's hotels are the same. Really exceeded expectations
Excellent location for us, meeting family from various locations to celebrate a significant birthday with visits to Long Leat and Stourhead.
We are all foodies so it was great to have a well equipped kitchen. And plenty of space for the 6 adults in our group. Pretty little hamlet and Warminster is a nice town with good walks around.
It was very quiet, which was good. It was within walking distance of a nature reserve, a park with a lake and Warminster town centre. The bedroom was OK and the bed was comfortable also the settees were comfy in the living room.
The hot tub was nice, and there is space to park the car right next to the lodge.
Lovely countryside location and facilities, perfect for a peaceful weekend away. All amenities included and reasonably priced. Great location if wanting to visit Longleat. Lovely hosts who had some good suggestions of things to do and places to eat in the local area.
perfect location for our visit to Longleat
Rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Lovely Christmas trees and decorations in restaurant and lounge area. Staff were extremely helpful and food was great. Will definitely book for next year
A very friendly pub. My room was large and comfortable. The pub has a lovely garden, which leads to the river. Breakfast was excellent. The village is quiet and within easy drive to Warminster, Longleat and Stonehenge.
Hotel was perfectly located as we were visiting friends in Upton Scudamore, they also accomodated our early check in request. Provided breakfast although we forgot to order it. Nice stay overall.
Super near longleat safari park
Modern and clean and full range of utensils etc, fridges, free pier, washing machine
Parking is easy (two reserved spots in the restaurant car park)
Lovely quirky hotel in a central location. Food was of a good standard and the staff were friendly. It was good to have tea and coffee and mineral water provided in the room.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent, hotel was lovely and just what we expected, only issue which we didnt mind but the children did was no wifi in the bedrooms.
