The location; the staff; the cleanliness; the comfort; the relaxing nature of the communal areasl the food, both in the evening and the breakfast.
A group of us have been touring Scotland the last eight days, and The Scourie Hotel was the best hotel we stayed at, by far.
We even saw the Northern Lights from the grounds.

The accommodation included a well-equipped kitchen. This is self-catering accommodation which we were aware of at the time of booking. Our host Paul met us on arrival and was very helpful. We appreciated the availability of a washing machine which was helpful after being on the road for about a week.

Scourge is a beautiful area that rival Isle of Skye!
Scourge is a beautiful area that rival Isle of Skye! The pod was the perfect choice for our adventure. The local restaurant is closed seasonally, but there is a great little Pub 10 minutes from the Pod in Scourie called the Anchorage bar. They serve basic item like pizza, but are wonderful people. We will be back!

The village is small, as is everywhere in that part of the world, the drive in and out part of the experience. The nearby Scourie Hotel provides an excellent place for eating, drinking, and socialising, especially know for its seafood.
Walking, hiking, best area of interest is the short ferry trip to Handa Island, a bird-watchers paradise. The main feature in the whole area is scenery, scenery!
