The staff were super lovely and the highlight of the stay. Good if you have pets too as there is a field in the back but if you’re unfortunate you’d end up being harassed by drunk men from their bar.

Lots to do and see in the immediate area and convenient for travelling further afield to other nearby places of interest. The Rufford Arms was an excellent place both to stay and to eat. Don't miss Rufford Old Hall and the narrowboat marina on the canal.

The gaggle of misogynistic men that propped up the bar since teatime that you had to squeeze past to enter the pub. I was so embarrassed that my young son had to listen to their sexist language whilst with me. The smell of cannabis was overwhelming and the staff, with the exception of the lady at breakfast, weren’t particularly helpful or friendly.
Great sized room but the lock on the door was difficult to open.
The area was beautiful and we could have stayed longer and gone walking. The hotel room was quiet even though there were a lot of people staying. The room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed a drink when we arrived and the man in charge was very helpful and friendly. The meal in the evening was good and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. The breakfast was great all freshly cooked and no buffet style . The staff in the evening and at breakfast were professional but friendly and efficient.
Having stayed at the hotel numerous times before, we booked my mum in whilst we stayed in our motorhome. We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub and everything from the staff, quality of food and value was exceptional. Thank you to the lovely owners who went the extra mile with everything to make our stay an enjoyable one. It's in a great location for canal walks, cycle rides and beautiful countryside - cannot recommend it enough!
Our third stay here. This one was to move in our daughter in Liverpool for university. All central hotels go ridiculously expensive in these days so we come here. 20 mins to drive in. Hotel is clean, nice food, excellent breakfast and nice staff. Pub attached so cold 🍺 available.
On arriving at the Hotel around 11 pm we were welcomed with nothing being too much trouble . Clean extremely helpful staff. The menu gave us lots of choices whatever we chose was very well presented and delicious . Reasonable prices across the board for drinks and food.
Breakfast was good . Our room was on the ground floor right opposite reception , next to the main road and to the entrance to the hotel so was quite noisy hence did not sleep well . It was well equipped and a reasonable size . Staff were friendly and helpful
This is a basic hotel that provides great value for money and is super clean and tidy- cheap rooms normally come with a cleanliness tab but this is fantastic. Decent breakfast also and really friendly staff 👍
Pub is decent also
