What a lovely hotel in a beautiful area. Upon booking, the hotel looked a lovely place to stay but was even nicer than we expected. Excellent value for the price.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming, the rooms were lovely and comfy (we had a double, our friends paid a little extra for the king). There are lots of original features of the building that compliment its character and I loved hearing the church bells ringing in the morning.
We didn't eat here but ate at the Indian restaurant in the evening that's joined to the building which everyone really enjoyed - apparently they are moving around the corner soon.
Location was great with lovely scenery and a few pubs within walking distance with good beer gardens which we enjoyed in the sunshine, a craft beer place opposite the hotel and a place around the corner that often has live music. What more could you want!
One of our party also enjoyed a visit to Roger Wilkins cider farm on the way - apparently a must for cider drinkers and cheese lovers!
We were hoping to book another overnight stay in the next few months but I was sad to see they are fully booked on weekends for a while which says a lot.
The Grange Hotel Brent Knoll provides accommodation in Brent Knoll. The hotel features a 24 hour front desk and provides guests with a bar. There is a large sun terrace and beautiful gardens.

It was a quirky place to stay , the owner was a lovely man and very chatty and friendly.
We had a dog friendly room which literally had a little dog room with a bed and bowl for your 4 legged friend! There is plenty of fields to walk them too.
Food was good.

Unfortunately I found nothing nice about it, we were greeted with a man with his phone in his face, told us to hold on. The room was filthy it may have had a quick clean but the dust was awful, the mould around the bath. The bed linen was damp. It needed a good clean. 178 I paid for one night and I'm disgusted.
No breakfast vouchers given even though I had paid, however that was sorted out but wish I hadn't bothered paying extra for the breakfast. Would not recommend.

Read the main review - but I would add that you have to remember that this is on the northbound carriageway and if travelling south, you will need to go past it, get off at the next junction, and then join the carriageway north.

I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit.
I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit. They have big parking lot. So, no problem of parking. Also, restaurants, coffee shop, petrol station so close to the hotel. Enjoyed my stay there and will surely visit in future.

Exactly what I expected.
Exactly what I expected. Ideal as a place to break your journey travelling on M5, & for staying longer to visit the surrounding area if you just want somewhere clean & tidy to stay. Also cheaper than premier inn & other holiday accomodation. As we take our own breakfast, a fridge would be great to have in the room for milk etc.
Downside is, apart from walking to services, you always need your car to travel to places.
The hotel is primarily a sort of a convenient pit stop for long journeys. It's perfect in this regard, check-in was easy, parking right outside, room spacious, clean services about a minute away, staff friendly, and optional breakfast.
the hotel is next to the M5, which makes it ideal for traveling to Weston super mare and or Bristol.
Room is tidy, bed is lovely and comfy and Breakfast deal with The Great Breakfast in the services next door is brilliant!!
Room bathroom and the quietness of the hotel
very friendly staff
on checkout the young lady directed us on our way very clearly
would stay there again quite happily.
Large room with a comfy bed. Perfect stay when travelling onwards like we were. Services a short walk away for food and drink but also hotel has a bending machine.
