I was just staying for one night as a stop over. The cottage is in a beautiful location, very quiet, and had gorgeous views from my bedroom window. My hosts were welcoming and showed me to a very pretty bedroom with en suite. There was enough tea /coffee provided in the room, a decent TV and furnished to suit the cottage. The walk - in shower was just brilliant, easy to use and loads of hot water. The facilities were immaculate. The breakfast I had the following day was excellent - I'd ordered scrambled eggs on toast and they were cooked to perfection. There was a range of other foods to choose from and I was well set up for the day. If I had occasion to stay in that area again, I would book this B&B without hesitation. It is a tiny hamlet, and the only facility in the immediate area is a pub over the road, which again does a good menu and was very welcoming. There are probably lovely walks in the vicinity, but I wasn't there long enough to explore further.

The house, the hosts, the environment, the towns nearby, the inns nearby. Sussex is an Eldorado for tourists and the B&B South Downs Way in Poynings is a gem in it. There was a book on the table about Poynings history, good read and useful for a historian or anyone interested in the past.
