Breakfast was not good self service. Half the items for breakfast not available. Only one coffee machine working . No glasses available for orange juice. Staff did there best but not enough staff on .

The description of the bedroom bears no relationship to the 'sea view' room we had. It was cold, draughty, the tiles in the bathroom were broken and an attempt to repair a toilet unit was so bad and bodged that I'm surprised it stayed in one piece. The bedroom furniture was so old that must have come from the 70's and a radio incorporated in the bedside unit had all of its buttons missing. The window was so badly fitted that we were serenaded all night to the sound of the sea and the curtains billowing allowing cold wind into the room. They had to actually seal the gaps with sealant to stop the cold and wind. The breakfast was sent back twice because it was so cold and on the second occasion we gave up and had toast. The tv remote didn't work and the choice of channels (when you could get them) was limited to terrestrial only. I've never stayed at a hotel that fails to meet even its most basic requirements - but this one surpasses the lot.

View of sea, but only just. Lovely hotel.
View of sea, but only just. Lovely hotel. Would have liked to check out the walk on the beach, but no time to do this. Ate at the hotel in the evening and food was good and plenty of it.
Friendly staff and felt very welcome.

Nicely placed for Liverpool.
Nicely placed for Liverpool. Trains about 15 minute walk away but there is a huge car park next to Leasowe station. Trains direct to James Street station for Albert Dock. Blue bus tour a must and we hope you get Chris as the tour guide. Excellent. 90 minutes goes in a blink.
Loads of things to do in the city.

Easy access to the beach and promenade to Wallasey and New Brighton. Great beach walk with enough pubs and restaurants to keep you going for a few days. Great weather obviously helped, but it was relaxing throughout. It seemed very popular with dog walkers and cyclists.

I love the proximity to the beach.
I love the proximity to the beach. There is a wonderful coastal path along the beach and cliff meadow. It is very easy to visit Liverpool with train stations close by. The hotel has restauants and bars. However the quality of food is not exceptional.
Great location, food exceptionally good, so compliments go to the chef. Staff very pleasant, in particular, Gill, Sue and George, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Room was cold first night, but this was soon resolved having spoken to the receptionist next morning. Hotel, with history, lovely modern dining room and bar, star chamber a beautiful room to relax with a drink, nice size bedroom, all in all, a very pleasant stay.
We were allowed to go straight to our rooms which were close together as requested. The building was lovely to look at , we all said it would be lovely for a wedding party. The food was fabulous both breakfast and dinner, The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the beach which was just right for what we wanted. Thank you for the recommendation.
The bed was massive and there was a huge bathroom. The hotel looks, from the outside like it should be incredible and the grounds are impressive. Dinner menu was great and the lady looking after me was impressive.
We had a lovely time at the hotel, staff was very helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast to start the day off with a nice stroll along the sea front, we will most definitely be coming back again.
Beautiful, historic hotel with lovely grounds, through which you can walk to the beach and Leasowe Lighthouse. I liked our room very much. Friendly staff.
