Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Thanks to housekeeping, they added a zbed to our room at the last minute when an extra person had to be added due to a ferry cancellation. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were both very good.

LAWFIELD R&R, hotel in Millport

Set just 1.9 km from Seamill Beach, LAWFIELD R&R offers accommodation in West Kilbride with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as bicycle parking.

Me and my family stayed here in April 2024 for a birthday weekend away. The house was very comfortable for us, and the location was very convenient with bus stops and a train station nearby. Seamill Beach is a 20 minute walk away. The host is excellent, and very professional. The kids loved our stay away last week and will definitely be back in the near future.

Millport is a very traditional Scottish family holiday location. Don't expect too many frills. Cafes offer standard food and not a great deal of choice. However the people are warm and friendly and the ales and atmosphere in the local pubs are good. There is a local bus service , bike hire and walking trails. Getting back to the mainland is very easy and takes 10 mins on the ferry that runs every 30 mins. If you love golf the golf course is a joy to play but dont expect a posh clubhouse. The bar is basic at best and the food could be better. At present there is a lot of work going on at the north end of the town to improve flood defences so shut your eyes at that point.

Lovely wee place to visit. No public toilets.

Lovely wee place to visit. No public toilets. The only toilets had been vandalised but cost 40 pence a time. Disgraceful for a holiday island! Plenty to see and do - even with the restrictions - but the cutbacks are obvious.

Wehave known Millport ince we were children and we are now grandparents.Millport is the sort of place that people come back to. The pleasures of Millport are simple--cycling round the Island, picking out the various painted rocks, a stop at Fintry Bay, platying putting, having a ice cream ....Wonderful beaches.

Millport fine. Bracing sea air, with spectacular mountain and island views, on a clear day. Easy to get around. Car not essential. Good bus service to/from Ferry. Dancing Midge Cafe excellent for coffee, tea and snacks. Fraser's excellent bar food.

Lovely for a day or two but most of the shops, galleries and cafes closed at the start of the week. Worth going to Fintray Bay for lunch. It’s very run down and needs to find something to give it all a lift and find a USP.
