Location is slightly outside of town and on a busy main road, in and out of same. The bar itself is of fair quality and beers etc good .

Would highly recommend - very modern and airy - close to the Flamingo Land. Large spacious accommodation and if I am honest - best lodge we have ever stayed in.
This charming, vine-covered country house offers boutique-style accommodation surrounded by private grounds. Just 30 minutes’ drive from central York, it has its own tennis court.

Wonderful range of independent shops, and cafes.
Wonderful range of independent shops, and cafes. Leonis coffee shop was one of many excellent places to eat/drink. Captain Barneys provides great facilities for the younger members, especially if the weather is not ideal. Free parking for 2 hours in the market place area - good luck finding a free space, but there is a large car park 5 minutes from the centre of Malton - prices not ridiculous.

It was nice to have streets not taken up with many charity shops which seems to be the trend in other areas.
Plenty of places to eat as long as you don't leave it too late.
People are very warm and welcoming.
Electric vehicle owners beware. Although some charge points are available they are scarce and had to charge in the evening to ensure enough charge for the next. Being in a rural area, having more charge points would have taken some of the extra planning and anxiety away and made the visit totally enjoyable.
Went to the market but only 3 stalls set up. I suppose that's a reflection of today's economy.
Overall, we loved Malton and will use it has a base to visit other areas of North Yorkshire

Unfortunately leaving was the best part.
Unfortunately leaving was the best part. It was very expensive for what you got. The room was vintage as expected but the shower ceiling was black with mould and triggered my Asthma with the smell. My wife wouldn’t shower due to the smell. The staff were miserable and did what they needed to but no more.
Only told three days earlier that Xmas parties were on so no Kithchen on night we were there. No time to change venue as all booked up. I am sure they new well in advance about the parties, I booked well earlier so not happy at last minute warning.

Had a lovely one night stay in Malton.
Had a lovely one night stay in Malton. We went as it is known for food and we have a great meal in Omni. The photos online really do not do the restaurant justice as it really is a stylish interior. The atmosphere was inviting with good music which was at a level that did not inhibit chat.
We also had a delicious lunch at the Malton Relish and a great brunch at Lutt & Turner. We also purchased some takeaway pastries and cakes from The Purple Carrot for our journey which we really enjoyed. We also bought a fabulous rye bread from the Bluebird Bakery which I throughly recommend. Malton was very easy to walk around and we plan to go back.

Malton is a small market Town with a number of Bars and restaurants to cater for all needs. Be advised that some places do not open Monday-Tuesday and sometimes Wednesdays. Close by is Eden Camp which is a former prisoner of war camp which is now a museum. To make good use of the camp you will need around 3-4 Hours of viewing.
The host was very accommodating with our early arrival and technical difficulties receiving self check in information, explaining over the phone and following it up with a text message. The room was perfect for our weeks holiday and was in central location that made visiting places in the area easy including catching the train to York for a day trip. We didn't need to use it but there was a store room with essential supplies for us to help ourselves to during our stay.
The cottage delivered not only on the basics - cleanliness and comfort, but so much more. We were 4 adults, using the cottage as a base for part of the Yorkshire Wolds Walk, over a bank holiday weekend. It was lovely to come back on an evening to chill and prepare for the next day. It was well equipped and there was nothing we really needed to bring, other than food and drink! Spot, the farm dog, was very popular with some in our party.
The Wentworth Arms was a fabulous choice for the start and end point of my Yorkshire Wolds cycle ride. The accommodation was comfortable, the food delicious and plentiful (they even have a well considered vegan menu) and they even let me leave my car in the little car park while I was away for the two nights. Only slight gripe was that shower was a little outdated but other than that I can't fault the place.
Located in a lovely little village this cosy dog friendly pub was welcoming. The owner was very attentive and the staff extremely friendly! Comfortable beds giving us a good nights rest! Meals were all freshly made using local produce and the breakfast was outstanding, tasting the best sausages ever, supplied by a local butcher! …definitely a place we will visit again when in this part of Yorkshire again!
Staff were welcoming and professional. The room was warm, clean and in keeping with the building. The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was modern and clean. Good size room with desk, seat under the window, built in wardrobe with iron/board, hair dryer and towels. Parking onsite, tennis court and set in the beautiful yorkshire Countryside. Great value for money.
A lovely hotel in a lovely location for exploring north Yorkshire. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent service and we were made to feel really welcome. The food was definitely 5 stars with good efficient and friendly service. The room was lovely and cozy and well stocked with complimentary's. The lounge area was lovely as was the bar and the restaurant.
We had a fabulous, large room with double aspect windows with views over the countryside, and comfortable sofa and chairs. The bathroom was superb. Breakfast was excellent. It's a great location for visiting Castle Howard and North Yorkshire.
this inn was perfect. the staff was so accommodating, the food was delicious, the room was quiet and comfortable. it is about 10 minutes from Malton, 20 minutes from Pickering, right in the middle of beautiful farm country.
The location was perfect for spending time in and around Malton and for a day trip to York. The garden was lovely. The owners introduced themselves, lent us a book on Malton, and were very sweet.
the hotel was spotless. staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good.
breakfast was freshly cooked and they had a good choice.
Location was perfect, 5 min walk into Malton town centre. Fully equipped cottage, very homely. Spotlessly clean, good quality fittings and furnishings.
