The room, the setting, the staff. All of it was great!
Dating from the 17th-century, the Kings Arms Hotel is one of the oldest establishments in Lockerbie. This family-run hotel offers attractive bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and parking and 2 bars.

My visit to the Kings Arms was a one-night stopover to break up a long journey. It did that job perfectly. Friendly and professional welcome and service. Very good breakfast. Comfortable accommodation.
Located on the outskirts of Lockerbie, this hotel is close to the M74 motorway. Free WiFi is available in all areas. All rooms are equipped with a TV, a telephone anda hairdryer.

Located just 10 miles north of Gretna and well located in a scenic area of south-west Scotland, Kirkconnel Hall is a magnificent 15th century manor set in extensive gardens and grounds.

As I was only there for work, it would be difficult to comment too much on the town itself as I didn't get a chance to see too much of it, although the areas I did see were lovely. However it appears a good base for exploring the South West of Scotland, with good rail and motorway links

I arrived late afternoon and went for a run. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. Will be back. The people I met were friendly and kind. This day we saved a dog 🐕 from being run down. He had run away or been abandoned and was running harem scare. So myself and the town dwellers all came together to help the dog. Well done this community spirit!

It was a lovely building, breakfast nicely cooked , no other choices to full Scottish, fresh fruit would have been nice ....the breakfast is priced at £14.95 and not £11.95 as stated on booking .com ..
Bathroom light was automatic and an issue when using through the night ...beds comfortable though we found the room too hot ...
I probably wouldn't stay again

Lockerbie is a quiet, sleepy town with very little in the way of restaurants. Hotel was tired but clean and comfortable - renovation should modernise it.
Golf course was quite hilly however provided great views of surrounding area - people at golf club were however very friendly and helpful. Nearby Lochmaben was a much better golf experience for anyone looking to golf in the area.
People were however very friendly in the area.

Lockerbie itself very run down not much there but ideal base for touring round the most beautiful scenic routes. There are some lovely places of interest to visit when travelling around, we visited some lovely lochs, waterfalls castles and the highest village wanlockhead has tour guides taking you down a lead mind
we were booked into this hotel but due to a problem there we were moved to a sister hotel with a upgrade .
on our drive to the hotel the Owner phoned to see what time we were due to arrive , as it was getting late the owner read us the menu so we would not miss dinner . Fantastic service ! My partner and my self were more than happy with our room and the dinner was great .
I would like to thank the Owner and friendly staff for a great stay , we would both book here again .
Lovely apartment with very friendly host in a good location in Lockerbie. Less than 5 minutes walk to tesco and very good playground round the corner!
Well equipped kitchen with essentials provided (milk, tea coffee etc)
Great selection of games and toys keeping us and our 18m old entertained!
Dog friendly too - box of treats and water bowls provided too!
Perfect stopover on route to further north in Scotland.
Clean comfortable , very good shower , room a little dated but actually quite liked it ! Didn’t bother us at all. Very good value for price paid.
Staff great . Food good . Downstairs bar looks newly updated and very pleasant area to sit relax chat eat etc. Hotel looks newly improved generally . Central location, park 2 mins walk . Easy parking outside front of hotel .
This was a really pleasant one night stay for work.
Very friendly staff,I had one of the larger rooms which was really comfortable and very nicely fitted out. The food on the evening was very good, as was the breakfast. Ample car parking on the side of the hotel.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area. just 2 minutes off the M74.
the host couldn't do enough for us. our bed on the first night was very uncomfortable, but he changed our room without question. Breakfast was cooked to order and was of a good size. He explained the renovations that were taking place in the hotel and welcomed us back whenever we wanted
The whole experience was excellent from time of arrival to departure.
Christine & Alan are Great Hosts and ensure your stay is acceptable to your requirements.
Yes, if we are ever around Lockerbie we would stay again.
Nothing was too much trouble for Christine & Alan to help you with.
The Townhead hotel is ideal for breaking the long trip back to England. The restaurant provides excellent food and service, don’t bother looking anywhere else in Lockerbie. We were very grateful that we were able to stay with our golden retriever. Thank you Stephen, Lee and your team.
Very friendly, family run hotel which really makes a difference. The room was slightly quirky with traditional wood fittings, a little dated perhaps, but very different from the standard formula and all the better for that. Unlike many hotels, the Somerton is one you will remember.
The ground floor common areas have been recently refurbished, the bar, restaurant and reception are all nicely finished and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful There’s a free public car park a couple of minutes walk away. The location is central Lockerbie.
Gorgeous wee railway cottage. Very well equipped kitchen including tea, coffee, pint of milk in the fridge and basic foods in the cupboard - oil and rice. Games etc in the living room and a nice wee outdoor area as well.
Breakfast was great, staff were really friendly and having a front door key meant we could come back at any time. Everything was very clean, location was spot on and the breakfast menu was fantastic
Breakfast was faultless everything cooked to perfection. Owners helpful and friendly. Location excellent although Lockerbie itself a disappointment. Room inc bathroom were to a high standard.
The staff went above and beyond. The young lady on reception (01-07-2023) catered to our every need.
The location is idyllic and the hotel is beautiful.
I would certainly recommend.
Easy to find, plenty of parking.
Really, genuinely dog friendly.
Staff so friendly, real family atmosphere.
Clean rooms.
Food lovely.
Dog can sit with You when you eat.
