A stunningly beautiful area, used it as a base to explore...
A stunningly beautiful area, used it as a base to explore the whole of Lewis and Harris. Lots of single track roads which give the passenger lots of time to take in the stunning views. The roads are very quiet, and everyone is courteous and gives way in the plentiful passing places. You'll get friendly waves when you give way. I would love to come again and spend more time just enjoying the views and the birdsong. Highly recommend the Ravenspoint Visitor Centre - wildlife watching, self-service cafe where you pay a donation, lovely museum of local life, staffed by friendly and very informative volunteers.Julia - 10Scored 10

Beautiful area to explore by car and foot or bike.
Beautiful area to explore by car and foot or bike. Lovely views with mountains and beaches. Nice to learn of the previous way of life and the Islanders tenacity in carving out a living in this once remote place. Dress for the weather which will be windy with intermittent rain
