I rarely bother writing reviews, sorry. However..... the main reason I am doing is the staff. It's a YHA hostel so you expect cleanliness and decent facilities - this more than hit the mark there. The staff though were exceptional, wish I'd got their names - a young lass and a guy with a ponytail is all I can offer. Attentive, friendly, engaging, helpful etc etc etc. They didn't just respond but were proactively interested. I actually felt like a VIP! Hats off

A really nice BnB with sublime hosts. Cozy wood fire makes for a perfect spot to wind down and the whole ambiance of the cottage has updated and modern touches without loosing the age and heritage of the property. The hosts, Amy and James, shine through with their knowledge and experience. In particular we liked the most: The clean and new bathroom, wood fire with cozy seating, the ease of communication with the hosts and tasty breakfast.

The best thing about this hostel is the restaurant which does the best pizzas! Unfortunately it wasn’t open on Tuesday when we stayed but we still had a lovely stay. It is only a short walk into Llanberis for other pubs and restaurants. The room was small but cosy and the bed was comfy. We appreciated tea making facilities. We received a warm welcome from the host.

If you like nature and walking, this is the place for you. Stunning and we particularly liked the walks around the Llanberis lake and up to the waterfall. There are some shops in the village but it is not that well equipped for proper food shopping. However, we arranged a food delivery from Asda which arrived promptly.

Llanberis is ideally located for the easiest walk or train...
Llanberis is ideally located for the easiest walk or train up Snowdon, our main reason to stay here. Many other more difficult walking options are a short car or bus journey away, be warned the popular car parks fill up very early in the day and some like Pen-Y-Pas must be prebooked and are very expensive. A few miles further away there are an almost infinite list of other walking routes that will be much less crowded. Be warned that none of the routes up Snowdon are easy, you should be fit and prepared for cold wet and foggy weather, any time of the year. Llanberis has a few shops, pubs, cafes and restauraunts although when we stayed in late March many were closed, I guess the season starts after Easter.

Llanberis is the ideal location to start your trip up to Llanberis path to Snowdon. We were also able to walk to the Slate Museum & Dolbadarn Castle. If you want to get the train to the top of Snowdon, the station is located in a visible easy to reach location, with a car park about 1 minute walk away. Also, just off the high street we found a beautiful waterfall named Rhaeadr.

LLanberis is beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay there.
LLanberis is beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay there. If you're there to see the sights, make sure you're traveling all around Snowdonia! In particular, some of the northern region has amazing landmarks, such as Corfe Castle.
There's a bus service that can transport you around the area - we stayed in the YHA in Pen Y Pass, and caught the bus from there to the nearest cheap car park in the morning to save some money.

I would have preferred a walk in shower with a bigger room. The hotel was very welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Plenty of space in the hotel to relax in .Good car parking space and to Snowdonia railway.,Plenty of walks and overall a pleasant relaxing stay. We would certainly return.
Good spot, easy stroll into Llanberis, where you can pick up the regular Sherpa buses. Food was ideal post walking food - great beer, lovely home made flat breads, burgers and pizzas as well as veggie curry option which was lovely. Our en suite room was cosy with everything you need. There was a residents lounge, with maps and books. All in all, excellent value. Very hospitable host, made good suggestions for our trip. We will come back and would recommend to anyone wanting to walk or climb in this beautiful area.
The hotel is at an excellent location by the lake and just at the bottom of the Snowdon walking trails and by the train station that goes up to the maintain. We drove to Wales so having free parking outside of the hotel was really convenient. It was great to have such a good access to the local villages and stay so near by Llanberis lake.
The breakfast was lovely and the room was comfortable as well. Whenever we had a question, the staff was very helpful and was able to help us have a lovely stay.
This place is amazing. Very clean, comfortable and spacious for a family of 4 plus. Welcome pack was a lovely addition. Such a lovely location for visiting Snowdonia. Lots of restaurants and takeaways close by in the small town of Llanberis.
Lovely steam train ride around Padern lake and the Mountain railway is a short stroll away. The slate museum is also a short stroll away. 20 minutes by car to Caernarvon Castle or Zip World.
Location was excellent. Short walk to Lake Padarn and to the Llanberis path up Snowdon and the railway. A couple of lovely restaurants and cafes within 5-minute walk and a Spar supermarket right opposite. Bar on site was well stocked and busy with large outdoor seating area. Free parking was a plus too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and toilet paper provided. Wifi free but best downstairs in bar area.
Location is excellent and the best place to stay if you want to climb Snowdon. The breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel, freshly cooked every day. The owners (and the cat) are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much to ask! They are so accommodating. Rooms very clean and spacious the bed is huge!!! Over all not a single thing to complain about. 100% would recommend! Alice and Stephen
Lovely apartment in he heart of Llanberis, easy access to Snowdon, local steam railways, etc. The apartment was very clean, the main bedroom had plenty of space to set-up a travel cot. The kitchen was fully equipped.
The hosts were very kind and left a little tray of cakes. Communication from hosts was great.
We had a lovely stay and explored North Wales. Diolch yn fawr!
The Pardarn Hotel is at the heart of the Llanberis, being placed in the most perfect location for climbing Mount Snowdon. It’s a lovely 10 minute walk from the start of the Llanberis route, taking the stress away from how we would start our climb to the summit. The staff were lovely, even given us recommendations of what to do in our time in North Wales.
We booked a camping pod for 4 adults which was cozy and a different experience. The hostel is very close to Victoria terrace which is the starting point of Llanberis path to Snowdon. So if you've plans to hike Snowdon, this place would be the perfect fit.And like every YHA, it has all the necessary facilities, the staff were very polite and helpful.
Everything was brilliant. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Very luxurious, welcoming and homely. Breakfast was perfect and Annie looked after us so well, and has lots of knowledge of the local area including the various routes that lead to the top of Mount Snowdon. Very happy indeed. We highly recommend this B&B x x
Great location so scenic & beautiful. Comfortable & immaculate accommodation! Spar shop next door. Pub, chippy, Indian restaurants close by.
Walking distance to hike up Snowdon on the Llanberis path. Caernarfon castle short 15 mins drive. First time visitors to Wales will definitely be back so much to explore!
The room was basic but that was all we needed after walking up Snowdon. There is a bistro, sports bar and pub attached to the hotel with live music so plenty to do after the walk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made ordering breakfast for the next day nice and simple.
Amy & James are great hosts, so personable and really helpful with local information. Breakfast was great, room was clean & comfortable. The communal lounge with tea & coffee & games and log fire was also a nice touch. Great location for climbing snowdon, we’ll be back!
Wonderful apartment, comfortable, well equipped, outdoor area awesome, WiFi excellent, bonus friendly neighbors cat!
Excellent location in the center of town, easy walking distance of all facilities including Snowdon Mountain Railway, National Slate Museum etc.
Oh how lovely this was! Super central location, near the lake and the Llanberis Path. Near shops and pubs. All you need. Great room with great bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Already booked my next stay with them for when I go to Snowdonia!
The owners who run the hotel are exceptionally kind, friendly and attentive, creating a very friendly atmosphere. Delicious breakfast, cooked to order. Great location for exploring Snowdonia.
