Hotel looks well maintained from the exterior, but inside is looking a little tired in parts. Room was comfortable, clean and everything worked as it should.

The bed situation we are a couple, we had to put 2 single beds together, not good and not comfortable.

The room we were allocated was at the far end of the hotel and to get to it we had to negotiate an opening that was only 4 foot tall which has a set of stairs immediately following it. Getting through the door and down/up the stairs at the same time was downright dangerous, especially as I’m 6 foot tall and 15.5 stone. Once in the room I couldn’t stand up straight in 75% of the space as the ceiling was so low. Showering was even worse as I had to bend my head/neck over to fit in the space. All the while I was in the room I was bent over and felt claustrophobic. To make matters worse, we requested a quiet room but were given a room overlooking the road and had to contend with the noise of the traffic snd were then awoken early in the morning by music from the hotel. I complained about the issues on check-out but the response was just ‘sorry about that’.
