Mill House, hotel in Kirk Yetholm

Claire greeted us on arrival, we were made welcome from the start, Mill House is lovely and in a wonderful location. we were in The Mill Suite, so had a separate bedroom from seating area, the whole suite was extremely clean, very comfortable and bonus of plenty of satellite channels on TVs. Claire was very helpful with where to eat locally, so we tried The Border Hotel Pub, staff were very friendly and meals were reasonably priced and delicious. David is Claire's Husband, he cooked us a freshly prepared breakfast which was very tasty, we would highly recommend this Luxury B&B to all our friends and family

Hethpool Hideaway Northumberland National Park for 2 offers accommodations in Wooler, 21 miles from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema and 23 miles from Bamburgh Castle.

Brilliant location - quiet, total removal from the woes of civilisation. The host was very welcoming with us. We were slightly underprepared, but she cooked us a soup in the evening and the breakfast on our last morning was delicious. Very friendly reception. The apartment has everything you might need - fridge, cooker, pots, pans, microwave. Bathroom equally well stocked. All very clean. Thankfully, there is no TV set :), but there is WiFi if you want it.

Kirk Yetholm is a fabulous village at the bottom of a breathtaking hillside. It is at the end of the Pennine Way. It's a very peaceful village and looked beautiful in the evening sun. I stayed at the Border Hotel, which was equally as fantastic

It was nice to spend time in a village again, and just do whatever we wanted without rushing anywhere. The driving was easy and the area was beautiful, we were particularly interested in the farming. We ate in our hotel each evening.

The trip was arranged to meet our son, who lives in Derbyshire, during his walk along Cuthbert's way. We had never been in that part of Scotland previously and intend to return and spend more time in the area.

Beautiful room, new and spacious with lovely en-suite. Amazing views across fields. Relaxing and comfortable bed so great night's sleep. Breakfast ingredients excellent quality. Delivered to our room (due to covid rules) but that was fine as we ate on our balcony and enjoyed watching rabbits and other wildlife. Pub in village (Border Hotel) did great evening meals (recommend booking this in advance) Relaxing stay at Mill House. We hope to return.

Its a very nice old hotel in a picturesque village. The room was large and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very accomodating with any requests you have. The breakfast was excellent and lovely selection available. The hotel was able to store my rucksack and forward to my next location as I was participating in a 4 day hike across the Cheviot Hills, this was really helpful.

We chose this hotel due to its location on the St Cuthberts Way which we were walking. The rooms, staff and food were excellent, but there wasn't a lot of sleep as we stayed on a Friday night, which by all account is quite a noisy night. If you are planning staying here and want a good nights sleep, I would certainly reccomend it as long as it wasnt a Friday night.

Fabulous - booked this hotel as the stopover as we were moving house, long distance. We chose the cottage as we had a dog who had already had a bit of a stressful day - the cottage was much bigger than anticipated and a lovely multi-level garden, all rooms had big beds. Next morning, the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely look to stay here again.

The hotel was clean and reminded us of a little hotel in France with the shutters - The owner Sandy was delightful and booked us a dinner reservation for our evening meal at the hotel up the road, as her restaurant didn’t open on a Monday. We would definitely return and the breakfast was excellent. From Julian & Amanda

Good choices for breakfast, nice dining rooms, yummy Cullen Skink and cosy bar. Great location for us visiting Holy Island on the way to the Highlands and a pretty drive to get to the hotel. The room and bathroom were stylish, comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking.

Having been 3 years ago, I knew of the location, however was surprised that the hotel was all closed at 9 pm when we arrived back from having dinner with friends. Breakfast was all served to us but not quite as we asked, would have preferred a more buffet style to speed things up.
