This is a hidden gem. Friendly staff (nothing seemed to be too much for them), great food and a lovely room. Parking is limited but there is a big free car park across the road. Probably one of the most dog friendly places we have ever found. They even had a dog shower to use after muddy walks. Fantastic!

The property was absolutely stunning, the coach house where the rooms are situated - beautiful and the room was decorated with lovely wallpaper. The cushioned window seats were my favourite feature, sitting there with a cup of tea was just divine. There was a fantastic edition of a French press in the room with ground coffee which I’ve never had in a room before - this really made my morning as I love a cup of freshly brewed coffee when I get up.

The beach at Kilve and the cliff walks are the highlight and probably the sole reason one might choose to stop there. A quiet sleep village with a Post Office/General Store. We ate dinner in the Hood Arms where we stayed. It was very busy, always a good sign, and there were good choices, well cooked and we didn't feel rushed.

Kilve Beach has interesting geological features and good for fossil hunting, we found ammonites there. We were wary of the problems with fines in the car park after reading reviews so walked from The Hood Arms where we stayed 3 nights. Pleasant 20 minute walk. Green area and seats at the top of the beach and wonderful views. Recommend the Hood Arms for food and stay.

Fortunately, we had pre-read all the negative reviews about parking at the beach and because we were staying close enough to walk avoided any issues. Our visit was short due to the inclement weather. The beach is challenging to access, more a place of contemplation and mindfulness. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset before the heavens opened.

Lovely walk from Pardlestone Farm to Kilve beach.
Lovely walk from Pardlestone Farm to Kilve beach. Good village pub serving excellent food. Kilve is ideally situated to visit Dunster (A must), Minehead, Taunton and Bridgewater. For walkers the Quantocks are beautiful.
Friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully appointed room with comfortable bed and fab power shower. We had a very tasty meal in the bar the night before. There was a good selection of local produce on the menu with local beers and ciders and a good wine list. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and substantial. Good location for a lovely walk to Kilve beach. Very happy with our time spent there!
The pub is situated in the beautiful Quantock hills and walking distance from interesting Kilve Beach.
A great welcome and staff very helpful and friendly. The food is first class and breakfasts were amazing as was dinner in the restaurant. The rooms were beautifully fitted with impressive bathroom. Nice pub bar and selection of local ales, large pub garden for sunny days.
Beautiful, homely farmhouse. We were made to feel at home by Ann and Mark as soon as we arrived with tea and cake and a roaring fire in the lounge. The bedroom is done to a high standard and breakfast was exceptional, with homemade jams and apple juice and a lovely full English. We also had a superb evening meal at the Hood Arms in Kilve.
Amazing location (only 15 minutes walk from the Kilve beach), comfy bed, great food, friendly staff and a surprise candlelight dinner ;) The free Wifi speed is quite good. Make sure you also visit the Saint Audrie's Bay waterfall (12 minutes drive).
Our room was very comfortable .Recently redecorated .Wonderful staff .Excellent chef producing 5 star meals at modest pricing.Undoubtably the best all round hotel accommodation I have stayed in in England .
Will definitely return.
