The staff were really friendly and the hotel had a nice bar and breakfast area. The size of the room I was in was good with two big windows making it nice and bright. The location was great as not far from my meeting location and the location was in a quiet area.

Sheila was very welcoming and friendly. As we were only there one night hard to find much to actually comment on.

The location was city centre, so perfect. It is appropriately named as the entrance is tucked away. Rob, the host, was friendly and answered messages promptly. He showed us around the property and then left. The property has many different levels which made it quirky and different to our normal choices, although we were not aware of just how many levels and steps there were both inside and outside of the property.
The creaks and groans of the property during the night were also unexpected but not surprising due to the age of the building. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we were to return to Newark, it would be on our list to contact.
This purpose-built country bed and breakfast is located in the beautiful rural Nottinghamshire countryside. Awarded a 3-star rating, there are traditional, comfortable rooms and free Wi-Fi access.

Sue is a wonderful host - kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble - from early breakfasts to going out of her way to help us with a dietary request. Highly recommended
