Hosts was very friendly ,breakfast lovely, rooms clean and comfortable , very quiet had a lovely rest thankyou.
Originally built in 1905, and surrounded by 30 acres of beautiful gardens, this former country house offers free Wi-Fi, free car parking, and log fires in the drawing room.
Horncastle is a small former market town. Although in decline since the loss of the market, it still has character. It has several antique shops, some of them better described as junk shops, and a second-hand book shop. It's certainly worth a stroll around. Its location is good for off-the-beaten-track exploring of this part of Lincolnshire, and is within moderate distance of Boston and Lincoln, as well as being close to the historic RAF aeroplane locations.

It's a small town with plenty of history including a roman wall, various churches within easy reach and is on the Viking Way. It has lots of antique and vintage stores, plenty of cute charity stores. There are several cafes including The Forgotten Tearoom which is a combination of vintage store and traditional tea room with afternoon teas and sandwiches. There is also a glorious thatched roof, traditional pub which is painted pink and serves great pies.
There is a small outdoor market in the square twice a week.

Stayed on a Sunday night, the town was pretty quiet, but certainly not empty. Clean streets and a good selection of places to drink, but not all places serve food on Sunday nights. The independent family owned Italian restaurant, Montebello, was terrific, in regards to the food, the service and the location.

It was a sleepy Country town that has a lot of History if you have the time to spend there. I used to go to the Rodney Hotel when my Uncle Fred scrambled at Cadwell Park a little further north. I was a young child and teanager and I think we would meet on the Sunday for a Meal after the Races, before they went back to Cheshire.

Not appropriate for me to review as I was attending a funeral but the locals are genuinely very helpful and friendly. Many thanks to the Landlord and staff of the Bull Bar for their fantastic service and support for the family and friends of the deceased.
Very peaceful location, friendly and welcoming owners.
The tent was a good size, very clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Solar powered for lighting, hot and cold water a wood burning stove and plenty of wood provided daily.
There were also children's reading books and a well stocked pencil case for activity books and some small toys for the little ones.
Outside the tent had a lovely deck area with furniture with views of the paddocks and countryside.
The beds were comfortable and warm. We had a very nice relaxing time.
This is a stunning converted barn in a perfect location. You are in the middle of beautiful countryside but in walking distance of Horncastle and a lovely pub serving excellent food. The property itself is exceptional, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Large bedrooms with fabulous views of the countryside. Abi and Alex are extremely helpful and friendly and on hand for anything you may need. We will definitely be back.
Laurel Lodge is a cosy house down a quiet street, near to the centre of Horncastle. My friend and I recieved a warm, professional welcome on arrival and were shown our very comfortable and well appointed en-suite rooms. A good night's sleep was followed by a great breakfast, the choice of which were offered to us the night before. It was an early breakfast, but this was no bother to our kind host.
A filling cooked breakfast provided but no cereals, yogurt or fruit at breakfast. Excellent location . Walks on the doorstep. Having own sitting room, entry hall, bathroom and the separate bedroom on upper floor. Friendly host. Lovely extensive views. Location convenient for sight seeing. Excellent pub, Durham Ox in next village for meals and Shakesby's in Horncastle excellent too.
Beautiful building with some fabulous views. Lovely bedrooms and fabulously clean.
We were made to feel very welcome and both Karoline and Kim couldn’t do enough to help. They recommended a fabulous pub in Horncastle, The Bull, which was only about a half an hour walk away and served some delicious (and generous portions)
Would definitely recommend booking
The cottage was very clean and had been refurbished to the highest standard and the garden was furnished with garden table and chairs with wonderful views across open fields. Location was excellent- peaceful and quiet and it was easy to walk from the cottage around the area. The owners couldn't have been more helpful.
We liked the grounds and the garden, but couldn't spend any time out there as the weather was bad. it was peaceful and quiet. the supply of board games and outdoor games was a really good idea and we had fun playing these. The range of TV programmes was also great to have, you do not get these in some hotel rooms.
We loved this little cottage. It's in a great location, close to horncastle, woddhall Spa, and raf coningsby. The cottage is cute and quaint, and comfortable. Comfy , reclining sofa, and comfortable beds. TV and books provided.
The lovely owner introduced herself then left us to get on. Would recommend.
It was a great location with good parking facilities. The hotel over all was nicely decorated and the bar and reception area was pleasant. Our room was really nicely decorated but very small. Fine for one night but would have been too small to spend any longer there. The bath was hilariously tiny!
Great to have a proper home stay and to be welcomed into someone's private abode. A change from pub/ hotel b and b. The dogs were gorgeous. Judy and Alan are so welcoming. A glass of wine shared was a bonus after a hectic day sightseeing.
Very generous continental style breakfast
In a quiet, rural location but within easy access of Horncastle. A well thought out little conversion, with a spacious feel. Tasteful and just a little quirky! Owners are close by but not at all intrusive ...a lovely, helpful couple.
The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable, though the bathroom was a little snug. The dinner menu was sufficiently varied and the prices reasonable, staff very pleasant and helpful.
Really great value for such a nice room. Expected super cheap & cheerful, but was surprised to find good quality interior, bedding, curtains etc. Far better than budget chain hotels.
Breakfast was much appreciated at 7 A.M. on a Sunday morning. Many places wouldn't arrange that!
Parking easy when found, and central Horncastle location.
