Beautiful old English country pub hotel. Clean spacious deluxe family room allowing our little dogs to join us. Great food and drinks. Included breakfast was an added bonus - very delicious. Asked for help from reception staff and they were most accommodating. Highly recommend for pre or post channel crossings as easy to get on and off motorway.

Being only a few miles from Ashford and a 40 minute drive to Rye, it is ideally located for exploring Kent & East Sussex. The accommodation was roomy, spotlessly clean with a large very comfy bed. Our room had a large bath and shower. Lovely Food is available throughout the day and evening.
Plenty of car parking space. If you like golf, this place would be hard to beat. There’s even a local aerodrome nearby if you want a cup of coffee watching the comings and goings

Very short stay as we were off to the Big Cat Sanctuary which is near by, Clearly with Covid issues we didnt get to see a lot of the place, but intial impressions its quite a nice village, its not very big . some shops and eateries, which we did use and purchased some items. The Church was open to visitors again with restrictions, but it was nice and welcoming. Yes overall we did enjoy our short stay. we will visit again.

Quaint Kent village that is unspoilt, which is a rare thing these days. Amenities are good and local. Walked from Big 🐱 Sanctuary to Headcorn train station. Took 30 mins. but sadly quite dangerous as neither side of road had a footpath, until within 200 metres from station. Lovely, picturesque walk though.
The staff were exceptional at this hotel. The receptionist gave us a very warm welcome and gave us information on things to see in the local area. She happily changed our room when we explained that one of us had a mobility problem. The food in the restaurant was delicious and there was a very good choice and the breakfasts were also varied and large portions. All the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. On top of this the bedrooms were spacious and everywhere was clean and well maintained.
Location was very near to The Big Cat Sanctuary which we were visiting the next day. All the staff at the hotel were pleasant and very friendly. Neil on reception gave us good advice as to where we could visit the following morning before we went to The Big Cat Sanctuary. Mel also shared her visit to The Big Cat Sanctuary. All the staff we came into contact were exceptional and I would recommend this hotel if visiting The Big Cat Sanctuary.
Staff were very helpful. We were the only guests in the restaurant. The meal wasn't anything to write home about. Unfortunately on the night we stayed the hotel had a wedding reception and their guests were noisy returning to their rooms in the small hours. I'd say this place is good for 1 night but if staying locally look around for better recommended properties especiall in local villages such as Egerton, Charing, Sutton Valence
The rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We had an evening meal in the restaurant - happened to be curry night which was really good. We also had breakfast in the restaurant which again was really nice. We had a Virgin Experience flight booked the following day at the nearby Headcorn Aerodrome - just a short drive away so perfect location for what we wanted.
Very friendly host and the location was amazing, so peaceful and quiet. Only a few miles from Headcorn but felt we were in the middle of the countryside. Comfortable and well proportioned room and good facilities like a kettle and hairdryer for my wife. We didn't use it but the garden was just outside our room, could imagine sitting in the sun and sipping a cold glass of wine.
The property is great and really spacious with good facilities. Victoria was very welcoming and a great source of local information. There is so much to see and do especially if you enjoy walking . Amazing countryside. There is Headcorn airfield just a few minutes away where we saw spitfires flying - a real moment to treasure and a good choice of restaurants and take aways.
The hotel was absolutely great for my needs! rooms were big and spacious and very comfortable. lovely big bath instead of only a shower option.
the staff were all very helpful, and very friendly and welcoming.
food was good and tasty, for both dinner and breakfast.
all in all except stay for the price
Rooms were spacious, well fitted out including air conditioning, and spotless.
Clubhouse facilities are available to hotel guests including indoor and outdoor dining space.
Well priced menu as it serves the members
Our host was wonderful and was in constant communication with us. She went above and beyond when she offered to pick us up from the train station in Headcorn.
