My room & ensuite were clean & tidy. Staff were exceptional - the housekeeping ladies I liaised with were Mari and Charlene when I asked for a few more milk pods and extra toilet paper roll. I did not have the opportunity to try out the hotel's catering facilities as family kept me plied with food haha, but I would recommend the Commercial Hotel to anyone needing accommodation in the area. Everyone was so friendly, from the check in desk, to the young man who helped carry a large suitcase up to my room, to the cleaners to the patrons.

This hotel is in a great location, so quiet and accessible from the M74. There is plenty of free parking. The Classic Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked with ingredients - delicious.
The room was large and clean, with comfy beds.
I heard nothing from the other residents, I thought I had gone deaf!

Lovely location, near the main road which I thought at first was noisy but as soon as I shut the window and the night came in it was very quiet. Liked the room and option of using the communal kitchen/dining area. Very comfortable pillows and duvet. Enough space on floor for my dogs' bed. Only stayed the one night but would stay again.
