We basically used it to sleep and shower as we spent very little time there. Late in after golf, then straight out to dinner. Away first thing next morning for Day 2 of golf.

Stunning location and views. Staff lovely, attentive and food superb.
Being a car free village made it peaceful, but with porters on hand and vehicles to pick you up drop you off to your car, it was lovely.

Interesting old property, very comfortable bed, lovely linen and duvet. Nice food.
Porthmadog High Street is 30 meters and both national and steam trains are within 600 meters of Tudor Lodge. The Tudor Lodge is a family run bed and breakfast.

Great location right in the centre of town but very quiet at night. Within five minutes walk of the railway station for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway which was the purpose of our visit. Also within a ten minute drive of Portmeirion. The most beautifully prepared and varied choice of breakfast we have ever experienced in a guest house. Outstanding.

Walked up the steepest street in the northern hemisphere which was challenging - took me about 7 minutes.
Castle is very good.
Nice cheese and beer shop opposite the castle.
It was a good base from which to travel to other towns.

Overlooked by its majestic castle, Harlech should be a wonderful place but underinvestment (and probably the results of the pandemic) have left it with many shuttered shops and closed businesses. A great shame, as it's a shadow of the town it used to be.

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular.
Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway.
Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce.
Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs.
Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones).
There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything.
If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels)
Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.
very clean, bed was comfy and despite the Hotel being on a main road it was quiet. An ideal location for visiting the castle or going down to the beach with the dogs.
Liam & Rach were the perfect hosts and very friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us and we would like to thank them again for their kindness.
They had recently won Four In A Bed and we can see exactly why, would we stay here again YES YES YES and will 🥰 if they will have us 😂
Not much Im afraid. Harlech is a great place in terms of its historic castle and location, but there isnt much there at all. The hotel is over priced and not very accommodating. Check in at 5.00 is so late, even in winter and they want you out of there as soon as they can. Not complaining about overall standards, but should be priced at £70 max. Sorry, but that's our honest opinion. Try Hafan Artro instead, up the road
Great location. Short walk to town center. Brilliant views of the sea from the bedroom window.
The owner was very welcoming even offering to make a pot of tea on our arrival.
The owner had added lots of thoughtful things for the house/room (eg. A small fridge in the room supplied with fresh milk!)
The whole house was scrupulously clean.
The owner gave us lots of local information about the surrounding area.
Great location, the hotel is very clean and comfortable . The room was large with a good size bathroom.
The hosts Adam and Tracey are very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
The breakfast will certainly set you up for the day , very delicious.
Harlech is very peaceful, although people with reduced mobility may find some parts difficult because of the steepness of the town .
On arrival, Angela game us a warm and informative welcome including a pot of tea. The room was clean and spacious with a breath taking view of Harlech Beach and the mountains. Everything about our stay at this B&B from the bed to the shower to the delicious breakfast was first class.
Highly recommended. We definitely intend to return. Thanks Angela.
castle Cottage Inn is perfectly located in Harlech - just across from the Castle. Rooms are beautiful and charming. The owners are wonderfully gracious — so friendly. They have relatively recently taken ow worship of the property and eager to continue to make it an outstanding place to stay. Fabulous dinner and breakfast.
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go each day. Ground floor meant no lugging cases upstairs! Very tasteful & attractive interior. Best equipped kitchen of any property we have used. Good space for the two of us. Lovely gifts [edible] and milk on our arrival! Useful booklet of info about local pub etc.
A very welcoming host Saul. Great location in Harlech, for beach, golf, castle etc. Rooms decorated to very high spec. A good night's sleep! Big TV in our room and we watched some iPlayer. Access to host's kitchen too. Would recommend and hopefully stay here again. The dog Link was friendly too!
The room and breakfast were excellent. Room and guest house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Lovely welcome by Deborah and very attentive during our stay. Located 2 miles outside Harlech so a car or taxi needed to find restaurants/ pubs. Would definitely stay there again.
Super lodging, Petra is a phenomenal great host, the room had many luxury touches, very clean. However the food was out of this world. You better make a reservation ahead of time because they are usually fully booked. We really enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back!
Amazing location in "upper" Harlech very close to the Castle but very quiet. Cosy well equipped cottage with beautiful views. Parking spot (important in Harlech). Shop, bars etc nearby. And a beautiful beach reached via a lovely walk through the sand dunes.
This was a nice place to say in lovely Harlech. We had a bit of trouble finding it as Apple Maps gave us some bad directions, but the owners were so kind and helpful and even came looking for us. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was very good.
The lovely guest house was in a beautiful location, close to the nearest town of Porthmadog and Harlech beach and castle. Deborah was a wonderful host and we enjoyed chatting with her. Everything was lovely, the bedroom the breakfast the place.
Very sweet little home, kitchen well equipped. Walking distance to town shops & Castle. Comfortable living area and beds. Nice shower & sea view. Close to the beautiful beach. Easy to park in local car parks with the permit.
Fabulous hosts directed us to spectacular waterfall walk and stunning village in Snowdonia. Walk out the door and up to the castle or down to the beach after a great breakfast!
Location is perfect, right near the beach to watch the sunset. Also close to a decent pub, the castle and a little longer walk to the caverns and neolithic burial chamber.
Superb location and room. Good breakfast. The proprietors Mark and Linda were very friendly, and helped to make our visit to Harlech a very successful one.
Exceptional accommodation. Very comfortable and warm. Very comfortable beds. Quiet area. We loved the hot tub! Loads of parking. Very near to the shop.
