Fox & Hound Hotel, hotel in Guisborough

Located in Guisborough, 30 miles from Flamingo Land Theme Park, Fox & Hound Hotel has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

The room exceeded my expectations. Very clean and smartly decorated. Large and very clean bathroom. There was a microwave on the landing to heat up my dinner (which was unexpected). Plenty of free parking. It's out on a limb, but only a short drive from Guisborough, which has all you need.

Guisborough is a handy base for exploring the ocast and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It has a mix of traditional old pubs and modern new pop up bars which we liked. We had an electric car and used the central charge points in the main car park park.

    I am from Guisborough.

I am from Guisborough. Its a place like a lot of places, it has a lot of closed down shops. But a lot of nice shops and cafes. The hills are close by. Although I would not live there again, I enjoy visiting family and friends. I like shopping there. Good pubs. The buses had changed. Not as good as they were, but I travelled on them OK.

This country town has several good pubs, some nice shops and easy access to the coast. We didn’t really spend much time in the town but it has some interesting buildings including the remains of the Priory. Make sure you get a visit to Saltburn and staithes.

Lovely market town with Abbey. Access to the coast, resorts such as Staithes and Whitby. Stunning countryside to walk in nearby. Will stay again for longer. 1 night definitely not long enough to enjoy all there is to offer in surrounding area.

An historic building in grand surroundings with easy travelling distance to North York Moors and Whitby. The quality of the furnishings and ambience are very relaxing. The helpfulness of the staff. People who cannot walk far should request a room close to a lift and not too far from the main building. Short people should not have rooms with velux windows as very difficult to reach.

The wood burner was excellent! The kitchen was very well equipped. Proximity to Guisborough Woods and the Cleveland Way is excellent for walkers. The refurbishment of this property is excellent. There has been a lot of investment by the owner. Wood burner in the back room was lovely! The large back garden was the reason we chose the property as we have a dog. Everything is new. Proximity to 2 local bakery, cafes and pubs is 5 mins walk. Yet still quiet. Belmangate is a pretty and historic part of Guisborough.

Good location, cheap parking. The rooms are clean and the property looks recently refurbished. It's central to Guisborough High Street but not noisy at all. There's a small cafe selling good food and coffee about 30 metres from the property. There's also good selection of pubs/micropubs/restaurants within a very short walk of the property. Bathroom and kitchen are particularly nice and the milk/coffee/shower gel were appreciated. Towels were included. WiFi is provided and is pretty fast.

The cottage was lovely. Suited to a couple or small family. The location was great as Guisborough has everything you need and then you're so close to the coast and all the moors has to offer too. We stayed 2 nights but would look at staying longer next time. Andy and Louise were so quick to respond to any queries. Parking was good.

A beautiful hotel with an open fire, lovely staff and a wonderful setting. My room was a great size, fantastic bathroom with bath, shower and great lighting, double sink, the food in the restaurant (we used the grill) was absolutely delicious. Everything about this stay made it a wonderful visit.
