Glossop is a fabulous market town, with great walking in the dark peak close by. Culturally it is developing its offer with galleries, restaurants and events. It has close access links, with Manchester a 30min train ride away.

Beautiful countryside walks lots of dog friendly pubs. Local taxi company Padtax were amazing and if you let them know you have a little dog on booking and give them notice they will do everything to accommodate the request and are very reasonably priced x

Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper.
Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper. The whole area, however, very scenic. manor Park nice for a walk, especially on a hot day. Aircraftwreck Superfortress ‘Overexposed’ is 4 mile walk uphill but worth a visit. Go,to the Queens Head for a Traditional English Meal vs The Bulls Head for tapas.

Pub is in Old Glossop, 10 - 15 mins. walk from Glossop town centre. Old Glossop very quaint in an interesting way. Two other pubs and a lovely park 2 mins. walk from the Queens. Country walks also right on doorstep. Glossop itself a pleasant town with all the amenities one could reasonably require available. Regular trains from Manchester Piccadilly with a half hour journey time.

The hotel is in a lovely part of the country and is situated in the centre of town with all facilities and was ideal for our party of 6 doing the Trans pennine cycle trail The Norfolk provided excellent secure storage for our bikes.
The location in Old Glossop is really scenic and lovely and the pub itself is lovely and quaint. The room was really clean and really nicely decorated, the bathroom was also spotless and the hosts provided a good variety of amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were really comfy too. The view from our window of the church across the street was beautiful as well. The staff were also really lovely.
Nice cosy bungalow in a quiet location about 10 minutes walk to town centre. We were stopping for just one night while on a cycle tour and it was perfect for us. The crisps and biscuits provided were much appreciated! Also nice to find the kitchen provided with basics such as tea bags and some cooking oil and a few capsules for the washing machine.
Easy check-in with staff at the bar in the pub, nice clean rooms with all the expected things, comfy large beds, spacious triple room, views out into the street in the double we had. Good curtains and blinds. Helpful and friendly staff. We ate in the pub with no reservation and the food was a solid 7 out of 10.
Welcoming staff, ideal location, easy parking, good facilities, excellent bar and restaurant for an evening meal, and a superb breakfast ..only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Glossop Town and on the way you can enjoy a walk through the recreational area called 'Manor Park'
Great location in old Glossop on edge of a lovely big park and 300m to Peak District walks/hikes. Good food and generous portions. Clean modern and secure rooms. Dog friendly. Couldn’t take dog in Indian restaurant on site so they brought food to us in the bar.
The property was large and offers a great space to relax. We were visiting friends with a two little ones which meant we could let them relax and have family visit us if they needed to go to bed, something you cant do if staying in a hotel.
The location couldn’t be better, lovely park opposite and centre of town a few minutes walk away. Old Glossop can be reached through the park making it a lovely quiet walk. Host provided a travel cot for us and had it set up on arrival.
The Location of Windy Harbour was a big plus. There are wonderful views from all areas of the hotel. To sit and take in the scenery was a good thing to do.
The breakfast was cooked to order and was most enjoyable.
We travel extensively for business and visit many hotels. The Queen’s Arms is by the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Everything was so clean that it just sparkled! Kudos to the cleaning staff.
I really enjoyed my stay, it was comfortable and cosy. It is dog friendly (with prior agreement) and host provided 2 dog bowls. The house is close to the station.
