Charming hotel with a lot of character in a prime location, right on the seafront. Short stroll to the Old Town, and right next door to the White Rock Theatre. Run by a wonderful family, including their adorable dogs and cat. Warm and friendly atmosphere, with a restaurant, outdoor dining and large bar. Parking available too. Rooms are spacious and clean, with modern facilities.
Astral Lodge is situated in the centre of the historic coastal town of Hastings, directly opposite the beach.

The room was spacious with a couple of armchairs and a small table. It was on the top floor with a good view overlooking the promenade and the beach. There was a small fridge in the room which was very useful for keeping fresh milk and perishable foods so we could have an early breakfast.
The landlady was friendly and helpful and did admirably well in coping with a water supply problem which had hit the whole of the area shortly before we arrived.

Our owner was great - efficient and helpful with local food recommendations. Complimentary breakfast basket included hot pastries fresh from the oven which were delicious! The room was basic but spacious and had everything needed and was very clean. Guests also have access to a shared lounge with couches, a tv and complimentary cake there.

The staff were so obliging and easy going which made you feel relaxed and totally welcome. The location is beautiful rolling hills to the sea with farm animals and amazing views

Tea, coffee (Nespresso), and real milk and complimentary water in the fridge were very nice touches. Room was immaculate and tastefully furnished. The bedding was lovely.
In the evening we ate in the pub which has a lovely atmosphere and food and service were great.
