Breakfast was fine. A ‘typical’ English pub stay. Car parking available as advertised. Cleanliness okay. Bar seems busy apparently with locals.

The location is perfect…….totally private and quiet.
The location is perfect…….totally private and quiet. Very clean room
The bar area is very small and the drawing room is small……however if you’re looking for a private venue for your wedding ( so you take over the whole place) then this is perfect!

Eshott Hall is a beautiful, relaxing blend of genuine old and modern. The food was excellent, top-notch, and always so very well presented. All the above was brilliant but the icing was the high quality of staff.
Nothing at all to grumble or complain about.

The house was beautiful, spacious and clean, the grounds pleasant to walk round and all very dog friendly. The breakfast had a good selection of full English or Continental and all very well cooked.
We ate our evening meal at the Old Boat house in Amble which I highly recommend.
Eshott is easy enough to find and is a very picturesque little village.

Beautiful location in an old hall.
Beautiful location in an old hall. Our Sea-Biscuit Room was excellent with a huge bathroom with shower enclosure. A spa bath would have been an added luxury but you cant have everything, similarly the room would have benefited from a king sized, even a super king size bed and there would have still been loads of room.
Breakfast choice and quality was excellent - we did not eat in the hotel at night so am unable to make a comment but if the food was as good as it was at breakfast then I am sure it will be excellent.
Selection of wines and bottled beers available at usual prices for hotel of this quality.
No spa or gym on site but I believe the RPG's sister hotel at Doxford has these facilities so may try that next year.
The hall is in a beautiful location, quite a long way from anywhere else, the grounds are beautiful and well looked after. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately while we were there the kitchen wasn’t working for evening meals. The accommodation couldn’t help this, but we had been travelling for three weeks and were looking forward to just relaxing at the hotel. They did try very hard to sort alternatives out for us and provide taxis if we wanted one.
This is an isolated large property in a rural location. It's ideal for getting away from it all, but that's probably it. There is only really a bar and sitting room at the hotel as facilities. The gardens are pleasant but not large. The bedroom we had (number 9) was airy and well appointed with a large bathroom. Meals are served in the Ballroom and the both Dinner meals we had were excellent and there was a reasonable wine list to go with this.. Staff throughout were very good.
We loved our room which had a view over the walled garden. Unfortunately up a flight of stairs, but we coped. Our first night's dinner was good but on the subsequent nights, dinner was served in a rather bleak hall which was not as cozy. Perfect location for exploring nearby attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, the puffins and Holy Isle. No parking issues and easy access to our rooms.
The house itself was beautiful, and our room (Versailles) huge and well decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of action for the night of our visit, but the provision of a free taxi service to a local gastro pub was a thoughtful touch that made up for some of our disappointment at missing dining at the hotel.
A large country house in the countryside, near the A1. Rooms are large (with very high ceilings) and beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plentiful parking is available by the side of the hotel, and you can walk around the grounds. The evening restaurant serves a good dinner, with good food and excellent service.
Everything! Staff were so efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
Loved being able to bring our 🐕.
Room was just lovely. Bed was so comfortable. Room had everything we needed. Hotel was situated amongst beautiful woodlands. It was idyllic. Would definitely come back again.
Impressive old building with a sweeping staircase and luxurious lounge areas. We had a spacious comfortable room. The hotel sits in lovely peaceful grounds and is easy to reach from the A1 and Northumberland coast. The room was great value, breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly.
The dog-friendly room was quiet, set apart from the main hotel and extremely comfortable. The room was first class even though, apparently due to Covid, linen, towels and coffee-making items, were not replaced or replenished during our 4 day stay.
