This hotel is very near the centre of Durham and ideally situated to walk everywhere, even for my husband who does not usually walk far. We were able to park just outside the door which at £11 per 24 hours in the middle of a busy city is very acceptable. The room was comfortable and included everything we might need. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I left some things in a drawer by mistake and they kindly posted them on to me within 2 days, at their expense. We highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is located in very beautiful building very close to centre but quiet, room was great, breakfast too and the restaurant of Marco Pierre White at the hotel really excellent, the staff was very friendly and efficient

Very good location and great hassle free check in.
However, there was mould in the bathroom unfortunately and the room was a little dated.
There was dust quite a lot around the lamps and desk.
Apart from that, nice staff, helpful and a quiet area. Just a shame about the mold!
