The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for you.
The room had just been decorated and had new carpets. Was super clean.
Everything we could need was in the room. For a twin room it was much larger than expected. 2 very comfortable new beds , a dining style table and chairs a Chaise Longe and a coffee table!!!
The lovely House Keeping team even left a resupply Kit outside the door when we said it didn't need cleaned. We were very impressed by that.
The leisure facilities were a dream. Great sized pool. Jacuzzi and steam room exactly as you would want.

And finally really handily situated for shops and Newbury Town center.

My self and my best friend who live far apart were looking for a new meet up hotel as the last one in Swindon sadly closed down. I think we found our new place and are delighted with it.

There were niggles...beyond staff control so they could do nothing about it.
These niggles and problems will be fixed for our next visit.

So an initially really poor impression. Meal not served, a bartender who ‘short served’ my drink! However, a superb recovery from the management who served me a replacement drink and brought my meal to my room. And charged me for neither! Having worked in a customer facing environment for many years, mistakes happen! It is then the appreciation of a mistake and reparations which leaves the lasting feeling!
So 10/10 for those who sorted out my evening.
Would I go there again? Would I recommend it to others?
