We planned to visit the Towner Gallery, but it was closed to prepare for the next exhibition. Enjoyed a show at the Devonshire theatre. Walks along the prom are nice, and views from the pier great. Eastbourne is a traditional seaside town that sees to be hanging in there better than most, although there are pockets of deprivation. Great for a few days break.

Eastbourne is a friendly seaside town with a quirky array of conventional shops, charity shops and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The streets are wide and generally clean. The only criticism is the parking. It is well populated and has a fair amount of visitors so finding a space on the street can be difficult. I stuck with the central NCP which saved time and a headache!

Beachfront location. Very close to lots of other amenities.
Town centre a short walk away, with a variety of shops and eateries. Train station also nearby.
Local bus route runs just behind hotel. But many conveniences located within a short walk.
Eastbourne Wheel (seasonal attraction) is right opposite to Lansdowne hotel. And The Wish Tower, and the Lifeboat Museum (run by the RNLI), are both within a 5 minute walk.
Everything! The location was brilliant. Stones throw from the beach (lifeguard area too) was a pleasant surprise. My from was spotless. Lovely bath and the beds were soooooo comfortable. One of the best nights sleep in a hotel in ages ! Perfect stock of tea and biscuits:) and was happy to see a lift !great value and staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Deep in particular was absolutely brilliant . Restaurants and a shop on next street. And a 5 min walk into the centre. Will definitely return when in eastbourne again. Thank you :)
Located right on the seafront, opposite a beach and easy walk to pier and town centre. Breakfast was excellent, wide choice and served to you at table, not buffet style. The hotel is charming and old fashioned in a nice way. Staff very attentive and polite ,the staff were so friendly and helpful .The restaurant was superb - the quality of the food was amazing and was very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning. The room was very clean and comfortable , had tea & coffee facilities
I really enjoyed staying at Seaview Sanctuary where I had a lovely bright, comfortable room overlooking the garden. Richard and Katie were so helpful and there was a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with delicious cakes, tea and coffee available for guests in the conservatory each afternoon. The position was perfect being so near the seafront and a short walk to the pier and town centre. I would recommend the guesthouse to anyone wanting a holiday by the sea in lovely Eastbourne.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff very helpful, breakfast buffet had loads of choice and kept hot +good selection of teas and coffee was good.room was spacious with all the amenities you need.i would definitely stay at the shore view when next in Eastbourne+ it is a short walk from the station through the town center. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for a lovely stay.
Beautiful old Victorian building, grand entrance hall and restaurant area. Once upon a time this would have been a gorgeous hotel.
One of the staff members was lovely when we requested a room change, no hassle. The final room we were placed in was much better. Spacious and nice views of the seafront.
Lovely Christmas decorations in public areas.
Room is really clean and comfortable. We got rear facing bedrooms as we got a cheap last minute deal, but hotel staff were really helpful and room was perfect for what we needed. They also let us keep our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we were exploring Eastbourne the same day. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.
Nice quiet location in a residential road with plenty of driveway parking. 3 minute walk to a nice quiet beach , 10 minute walk to local food shops and a 20/25 minute walk along the seafront to Eastbourne Pier and town centre bars , eateries etc.
Apartment spotlessly clean with modern decor. Everything you needed for your stay .
The View is a modern hotel at the seafront. It has all the amenities that you would expect to find in a hotel of this category and more. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent and - for a change - was served in spacious dining area.
I found the hotel easy to find, it's right on the sea front and I had a sea view.
The room was very comfortable with private bathroom and double bed and a television, staff were helpful and friendly.
The only thing I found a problem was I only had one night there.
The location is perfect! Rooms are clean. Staffs are kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. It was one of the best places we stayed so far. We did not stay in a room with sea view, but you can definitely consider a room with view. The view of hotel is remarkable!
The room was lovely and clean, the only problem was the water supply to the shower and hand basin was very poor. The Hotel is located close to the Seafront and was very convenient for our Day at Devonshire Park LTA Tennis Tournament in Eastbourne. Thank you
Wi Fi is free and a good signal-Some more expensive Hotels in the area have rubbish Wi Fi.
Regents Wi Fi had a good strong signal
Good Mattress
Very close to the beach.
Late night Tesco's and Coffee shops near by.
Decent Price
we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Lovely Victorian grandeur, perfectly suited to Eastbourne. Just a stone’s throw from the pier and seafront gardens. Live entertainment every night, very good food in the restaurant, perfect!
Excellent breakfast however sausages were of poor taste, staff were very hard working and friendly hotel looked tired in places situated on right on the seafront there is parking at rear I would say it value for money.
It was reasonable- but to be fair it was a very slow week for the hotel so breakfast was cooked to order rather than hot buffet selection and there is no evening dining - but there is a limited room service menu
This is a lovely two-bedroom apartment with a subtle view over the Eastbourne seafront.
Comfortable beds, two bathrooms, first floor but no stairs to climb, your own parking spot - what more could you want.
A lovely old Victorian hotel which was lovely and cosy, excellent staff and fabulous breakfast,
The location is just off the seafront with parking.
Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom.
