Great views across the River Clyde. The wedding we attended at the hotel was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and organised a local taxi firm to take us to the airport the following day. Didn’t have the opportunity to use any of the hotel spa facilities unfortunately. Easy access from central Glasgow but transport all the way to the hotel is essential.

I am sorry the area was awful it was above an Indian restaurant and the corridor we had to go through was full of household rubbish and bags that were leaking the stairs were covered in grime and I have already reported on the inadequacies of the room I am trying to get a rebate but I will continue to post negative feedback until somebody contacts me with the view to sorting this out

No idea what the town is like as this was just a convenient overnight stay en route between Bournemouth and Oban. We only visited a local supermarket for fuel: Dumbarton had the best fuel prices seen on our whole trip though.

St Augustine's Episcopal Church is beautiful and is where Charles Rennie MacKintosh was married in 1900.

Some of it especially where the said apartments were was very run down. On the outskirts found a great hotel whose prices compared to the Loch Lomond Apartments was very competitive and offered breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable price. Also room very spacious compared to the Loch Lomond Apartments where we had a king size bed and little other room. Definitely not a place you would want to stay for 4 nights. The name suggested that all rooms were part of an apartment when in fact we have a 10 x 10 room and a cupboard for the bathroom very dingy ad no space to swing a cat. I only weigh 90 kg but totally unsuitable if disabled - cant class as a walk in shower room as requested. Don't be fooled by the word 'close' either. Its not a road where you can park your car - It is a dingy entrance up to the flats above a shop! It reminded my husband of the old tenament properties that he knew as a child. Not recommended at all

Dunbarten has a very useful train station with rides to the Glasgow city center, coming in nearly every 30minutes.
It’s a very peaceful and serene town, with a well patronized shopping center.
Stores like Asda, Argos and Dominoes pizza, help get you covered on food, groceries and household items.
I didnt like the apartment. entrance was to messy to start with, garbage was there just after the main door. Keys were not in the lock box and after calling few times found the key below the matt. i didnt like the area also.
As far as apartment is concerned, it was not clean, things were put in floor like cattle and some other stuff. Didnt feel safe as main door was open and we couldnt lock the doors from inside while using different keys. All in all, not recommended.
Lovely place, my young son loved it. Communication from the owner was good, I’m sure we would have been able to rate her excellent had we met but entirely understand not seeing people as often as usual under current circumstances. Property had everything we needed, good selection of DVD’s while we chilled out after a few days travelling around Scotland. Very convenient for Dumbarton supermarkets.
Our first impression was the cleanliness of the cottage. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was a good size with everything that you needed to cook a main meal. The lounge had a good sized wall TV and comfortable settee. The cottage had a good shower room. The accommodation was set in a nice quiet area on a farm. Good location for visiting Loch Lomond.
While the entrance to the apartment leaves a lot to be desired when inside it has been very well refurbished to a comfortable standard and was very clean. We used this accommodation as a base to explore the area and it is more than suitable for that if you are looking to make breakfast and head off for the day & have somewhere to sleep at night.
Lovely, comfortable flat, with good facilities which helped make our stay very pleasant. Great location to travel in the beautiful local area, and secure parking round the back of the flats. Really helpful hosts who quickly responded to any questions we had.
The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for our stop off on the way to the Oban ferry. The hotel is dog friendly and our puppy was made very welcome. The beds were very comfortable!
The studio apartment was very clean and everything was new and worked properly. The bed was comfortable. The location is good, rural and close to Loch Lomond but only a few minutes drive from Dumbarton.
It’s perfect for a family stay in a home rather than a hotel. The view is second to none and the location is great, Loch Lomond one way, the city of Glasgow the other.
Lovely comfortable and clean house. Very quiet area, great view and close to Loch Lomond. Everything you need kitchen wise and good internet and TV services.
Very clean and comfortable house. The kitchen was equipped with all things needed to make a meal. Wonderful view of the Dumbarton Castle. Very comfortable.
The food is alway great, all the room are clean and comfortable. It’s a family run hotel, everyone is very friendly and helpful, nothing is ever an issue.
