My partners family live near by so this is very handy for us as we live 180 miles away. this cottage is absolutely amazing. Private car park, quiet location. Joined right onto the pub but cant hear a thing through the wall. We love eating next door as the food is incredible. There is a Co-op near by if your need to get anything for your fully kitted out kitchen with all pots and pans etc. 2 bathrooms were very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable! Little garden at the back for my dog was a added bonus.
We will definitely be planning to use this cottage again in the future! But next time for more than one night. When we went in we were actually in shock how nice it was. Very happy Many thanks

Very easy check in via text and phone call, plenty of contact even though we arrived after their latest normal check in.
Lovely clean room, very comfy beds, with an ensuite shower room. Parking just outside the property on the main road. End terrace, quirky old property, that apparently was originally a pub. The lovely couple who run it are very friendly and helpful with directions. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. An excellent price for the one night we needed, perfect location for the Lakes and only 1 mile from the zoo we were visiting at 9am the following day. ❤️

The building, the room and the facilities were super well presented and comfortable.
Small village with some independent shops . Church bells rang out on Sunday morning which was nice .We didn’t spend time in Dalton looking round since we were heading to Ulverston to the Dickensian festival there. We did however pop to the pub next door but one to the rental cottage . Nice cosy traditional pub with friendly bar staff. Didn’t eat there but food looked good that came out of the kitchen.

Not a pretty place to stay, I’d have much preferred to be further into the lakes. Only one pub sold food out of four or five pubs. Not many places locally to walk the dog, had to jump in the car whenever we wanted food or walks.
A very residential town, not really suitable for tourists.

The Brown Cow pub serves amazing food and has a lovely beer garden to sit in on a sunny day. There are other local pubs but we weren’t sure what was open during current circumstances. The locals were very friendly offering suggestions of where to visit and eat which was very helpful. We visited Ulverston which is just down the road and is another pretty market town well worth a visit as is the local Safari Zoo where you can get up close to lots of animals!
