Richard and his wife were very welcoming and really looked after us, especially my elderly mother, giving her a room on the ground floor and treating her to a special breakfast.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were beautiful and individual with secret ensuits that were very compact but functional. Only the water temperature in the shower could have been hotter.
The hotel is on the main road, so if you are in one of the rooms at the front and like your window open, expect a little noise.
The location was perfect for what we needed and we would stay again if in the area.
Just 5 minutes’ walk from Peterborough Rail Station, this stylish, modern hotel boasts spacious rooms with double walk-in showers and city views. Guests can also enjoy the grill restaurant and bar.
Crowland is a small friendly town. It has two small supermarkets, a bakery, a fish and chip shop and several restaurants/takeaways. It has a few shops selling non food items. The Trinity bridge in the centre of the town is worth a look. The Abbey is spectacular and the volunteers in the adjoining parish church are knowledgeable and helpful about the history of it. The library is well resourced.

Not a touristy place.
Not a touristy place. The Abbey church and ruins are worth a visit and we had a good Sunday lunch at Ye Old Abbey but booking essential.
The Deepings nature reserve and lakes are great for walking and the river Welland is lovely.
