The bar hit my friend on the head very very not understanding manager stayed up all night as his headache called 111 and got information of what to look out for in the night as I’m 60 and he’s 64 and couldn’t go to a nd e waiting several hours as I’m on a lot of medication so decided to stay in room the hotel was informed of this at the time it happened brought some ice and milkshakes and Kit Kat lol bless him as he was the chap who came and tore the big spring hinge from the door and there were large screws flying everywhere all over my granddaughter iv spoken to several managers but no empathy what so ever been offered my money back for the night or a complementary night stay and that was a very very bad disappointing response from them

Cookham Dean is a delight. Very pretty old village in a very green setting. Several pubs, including one owned by the community, very dog friendly and lots of long grass so they clearly care about the environment. Plenty of walking possible and all facilities available in Cookham.

Try the restaurant at the Mole and Badger, it may not look much at first but the food was brilliant. We wished we had, had longer to enjoy our meal! (Our commitments, no fault of the hotel)
Lots of lovely looking pubs around. A great place for walking with or without dogs.
Easy to get a taxi to neighbouring town Marlowe where there is lots to do both day and night.

Main complaint was the fact that restaurant was closed, one of the main reasons for our booking as food on menus looking interesting. Also the fact that we were not advised prior to visit that restaurant was in fact closed.

Very quirky boutique hotel with plenty of facilities and superb grounds. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us very well. The gardens were really pretty and and well laid out with the swimming pool being a bonus. Continental breakfast included which was very adequate. Rooms were very comfortable with well equipped bathroom. A short walk from two other village pubs and about half an hour walk to the rest of the village.
Staff very helpful and went above their duties by ordering me takeaway when I discovered there wasn't any food at the hotel. Also quick to sort out problems like the TV and the shower which was on an extremely hot setting and also bringing more towels and tea and coffee etc. It had a lovely heated outside pool.
Room was huge and very comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on clouds and the 6ft bath tub was to die for.
The view from the suite over the swimming pool/garden was lovely in the morning.
The hotel wasnt far from town with resturants, pubs & bars.
Nice boutiquey hotel, feel at home. Better option than the other big and corporate style hotels in area. Loads of personality. Pool area was great, lovely chilled atmosphere, staff very hardworking.
Very friendly hosts , beautiful room. Exceptionally comfy bed , boutique feel to the hotel , amazing croissants and generally a beautiful hotel and bar
