Fantastic location and views from hotel terrace, very clean and staff very helpful.
Decor lovely, although bit blingy in parts. Had an upgrade to a hot tub room as spa was out of action but knew this before we went.
Would return.

It is so easy going in Bowness we try to come here as often as we can. There’s something to do for everyone young and old. We have a dog now and he’s so relaxed here many places are dog friendly. Bars and restaurants brilliant especially Italians on the Main Street. Our favourite place can’t wait to come back

I liked the Beatrix Potter museum, Holehird Gardens, and Stagshaw gardens, Hayes garden centre up in Ambleside. Booked an amazing day trip with Mountain Goat tours that took us around ten Lakes of the Lake District with our amazing guide Mark Shipley. the restaurants I went to was Francine's up in Windermere, Urban Food House (superb) and the Magic Roundabout. I was within walking distance of everything in Bowness. I probably would avoid booking in the school holidays, was very busy everywhere. the weather was very changeable but it is the wettest area of Great Britain.

Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea.
Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea. I have been in the summer before and it is so busy it is unpleasant and parking is difficult. I would advise visitors to choose a hotel with private parking - preferably free, some charge for parking - leave a car there and walk to town or to the lakeside. Also be aware that Bowness is built on a steep hill and not all roads have pavements.

The town and area around Bowness are beautiful.
The town and area around Bowness are beautiful. We were able to walk and visit an amazing Arts and Crafts house and then see a very undeveloped part of the lake shore on foot. The ferry across the lake was nearby and the walk to Hill Top to see Beatrix Potter's house was beautiful and well signed. We had good meals in a pub and bistro near to Fairfield House so not needing to use the car made the location great for us.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Westbourne, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better – it was so close to both the lake and the town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. There was a bus stop as well right outside the hotel. The manager was so friendly and took the time to provide us with valuable recommendations for places to visit in the area. There was free parking available at the hotel as well.
Graham was really pleasant and allowed us to park the car at the door to drop off our luggage.
The carpark was only a few minutes walk away.
Rooms were clean and tidy. Shower and bathroom bigger then expected and fabulous to use as we were two girls sharing getting ready for a wedding.
Breakfast was delicious, presentation beautifully set out. All other guests seemed friendly and chatted.
It was a stones throw to the belsfield hotel to which our wedding was.
A lovely place to stay in the heart of Bowness on Windermere. Room was spacious, lovely decor, clean and tidy and modern feel. Hosts were so nice and friendly, and clearly take pride in having a nice place for you to stay and enjoy your visit. Lovely restaurant recommendations and happy to help and chat if needed. Certainly a place we will return.
The location was spectacular, very quiet yet only minutes walking distance from the lake and shops etc... So much choice for food and entertainment. We chose to eat out rather than have breakfast at the hotel, this was only because we were up and out. We are already thinking of staying again next year! Loved the place.
Attitude and manner of staff was spot on, the level of professionalism and friendliness felt genuine at all times.
Didn't treat the consumables in the room like they're gold plated like most hotels. Enough toilet rolls to last a week, plenty of shower gels soaps etc, and no shortage of tea and coffee Biscuits.
The wonderful Belsfield Hotel & the amazing grounds.
The trees really something special.
A lovely room with bathroom, really tastefully decorated.
The Belsfield staff were all very friendly and always helpful.
Love the dining room area with the wonderful views across Lake Windermere.
Lovely hotel with excellent owner and staff. Lovely clean room. Nice and quiet and adults only.Staff couldn't do enough for you excellent. Near to the shops, pubs and lakes. Great location and great bus service so dont need to move the car when parked. Looking forward to going back.
The hotel location and quality of service was excellent. We asked for a view of Lake Windermere from our bedroom, and the view was stunning. The only fault with our stay was that the spa, which was part of the reason we booked this hotel, was unavailable or fully booked.
Quiet location just off the main street in Bowness on Windermere. Comfortable, clean room with a lovely view of the garden. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and the complimentary homemade cake, fresh milk and water was an added bonus.
Excellent location, rite in the heart of Bowness on Windermere. Room was well laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. Great selection at breakfast and very friendly and efficient staff. Would highly recommend the Angel Inn.
Great location walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. Warm welcome by staff. The apartments are small (I think they call it cosy). The main hotel area is very nice with comfortable bar and patio area. Food was good.
