Disabled travellers need to be sure they get a room with appropriate facilities. Acknowledging a request is not good enough. The exact nature of bathroom accessibility should be clear - e.g. whether space for a wheelchair for transfer to shower seat and WC; Position of grab rails and drop-down handrails.

I booked this hotel because my sister uses a wheelchair and...
I booked this hotel because my sister uses a wheelchair and we were visiting crufts at the NEC therefore we wanted to be as close to it as possible. when they built the hotel they had no consideration for people in wheelchairs making the journey from the hotel to the nearby beautiful lake and on around to the NEC center.

Whilst i believe the hotel is being renovated, the carpets in the bedroom were filthy. Looked like workmen had been in there with their dirty boots. The breakfast was tasty. The renovation og the hotel and rooms is noticeable. The room was comfortable, cosy and clean (with ironing board and fine hairdryer).
