Easy to get too. Convenient parking for my lwb van. Grounds tidy. Rooms lovely and clean bit continental lay out with battle scars. Good TV channels. Bathroom and bedroom good size. Staff nice and pleasant good breakfast choice off full English or yogurt fruit cereals toast cheese and jams plus honey and much more. Decent evening meals plus good bar for drinks plenty off drinks machines for soft drinks payable. Just round corner is asda and mc Donald's plus more big shops as industrial park room cleaned daily

The house is ok but the landlord he has not because I had my family coming to visit me there and he said that I am not allowed to receive no one because the neighbour they complain .I have left 2 days mi trip ends I move to hotel and I lost money ... So I am not recommend

Everything,been many a year Since I been to The Bell as moving to Norfolk last 10 years didn't make it easy to be honest usually stay at Stifford Moat House but will now be staying at The Bell,Dianne receptionist very helpful and lovely lady,also staff very helpful, Thankyou

The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was ok. The wifi in the room was rubbish. The chair in the room was very uncomfortable so had to sit on bed for the evening. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The bar meal I had was good and the beer garden is lovely.

The lady who helped me was THE BEST!! I surprised my fiancé with a decorated room for his birthday and the lady at reception helped me pretend I was checking in for the first time so he didn’t know I had been. Honestly so welcoming and helpful! Anything we needed they provided for us, no matter what time!! ALSO the bed were so amazingly comfortable, great nights sleep.

Public transport was great.
Public transport was great. Many paved paths 'shared' for walking & cycling. However, unlike the roads there, the paved sidewalks -especially when walking outside of the 'Town Centre,' are often uneven as I found myself being frequently 'tripped-up.' Also, in some areas, the bushes near the sidewalks haven't been 'tended to' by the city and are often encroaching onto the sidewalks -footpaths, which in turn are 'in-your-face!' Basildon and the surrounding area has a lot of traffic and a fair amount of graffiti too, along w/ too much litter around.JohnUnited States - 10Scored 10
I attended my brother’s wedding here and the venue was...
I attended my brother’s wedding here and the venue was beautifully decorated. The food was delicious. I stayed overnight and the room was clean and the bed super comfortable. What makes this whole trip was the staff, they were so friendly and helpful. I’m taking away the best memory from this and that’s priceless.

All staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. We really couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Rooms were clean, tidy and very welcoming. Well there was not much I liked the hotel was clean and inviting , We eat at the Toby carvery which was better value for breakfast compared to the hotel prices , We went to see the Quo experience who were preforming there that evening and thought it would be nice to stay , I do feel that it is a lot of money to stay for one night as the room was small and cold ! Parking is a rip off as I didn’t know about that before arriving as I would have gone somewhere else think carefully people if you intend to stay for a few nights as 24hr parking was £12.

The staff were brilliant and our stay was very good in most respects with just two provisos; our room wasn't cleaned and we made our own bed; also I think the language in the bar was foul from 3 customers and loud. I am no prude as I have worked in industrial environments, but I think at best there is a time and a place if one thinks swearing is appropriate. The staff were absolutely outstanding from our most helpful, kind friendly Check in receptionist, 10 out of 10, which then followed on with housekeeper staff, bar staff and breakfast staff. Absolutely outstanding. The grounds and value for money was exceptional.

For me, it made sense as the price was great, and in fact, if I had been staying at the hotel, I was doing a course at it, which would have cost me a load of money, but I paid a fraction of that.
