Absolutely spotless, the staff were BRILLIANT and so so friendly, the food was incredible, the best vegetarian breakfast ive ever had ANYWHERE ,it was fantastic, the evening meal was properly home cooked in kitchens and piping hot, and Absolutely incredible taste, so makes little sauces and dressings over things, was a lovely experience to eat and sleep there.
The Bed in room 3 was possibly the most comphy bed ive slept in, the duvet was so sqwishy and lovely and pillows were like billowing clouds, and i slept like a log.
The bathroom in room 3 is immaculate and huuuuuuge shower try, you could fit a rugby team in there, and again hot water ,and high pressure, and a loo that flushed like a monsoon tornado, i doo love a good flushing loo.
Lovely quiet room and no outside noise, even with the window open, the only sound were birds singing.
Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, everyone was genuinely lovely and i most definitely will be going back.
Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, The Wheatsheaf at Beetham offers accommodation in Beetham within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.

It’s the perfect balance of tranquility, scenery and amenities. The area offers plenty of walking routes for all abilities. There is plenty of choice for eating out in Arnside and Milnthorpe isn’t very far for more choices

Lovely coastal village, two pubs and a fairly recently opened wine bar. Cafes and gift shops by the waterside, a pharmacy and general food store as well. Fish and chip shop,so all needs catered for. Train station serving the coast and inland, and loads of walks both through and around the village, and further afield as well. Handy of course for the Lake District, and a lovely peaceful place at night.

The hotel was pretty much as advertised with the exception that I wa unable to use the EV charger. Travelling by EV, this is an essential element to our travels. If you are travelling by an ICE vehicle - this is irrelevant to you. If you are travelling by EV - beware.

If you want a quiet retreat to walk on beaches & up hills...
If you want a quiet retreat to walk on beaches & up hills then Arnside has it all. There is a parade of shops with a chippy, a couple of cafes, touristy shops & art galleries & 2 small mini marts, one of which has a post office counter.
If you want a raging nightlife then it's probably not the place for you.
But I needed a quiet, tranquil, friendly place with great views & good beach walks where I could unwind from the previous very stressful months.
There are also lots of places to visit, either by car or train. I plan to come again more than once as my 3 nights away didn't allow much time to explore further

Lovely area.
Lovely area. Walks nearby up Arnside Knott with fantastic views, walks around coast and round Silverdale. Rspb site at Leighton moss. Reliable train service to places such as Cark, Ulverston and Carnforth enable cheap and easy access to areas to explore. Lake District is accessible,
but we found plenty to see and explore nearer to Arnside. Accommodation is fine. Has all you need.

Arnside is popular but relatively quiet.
Arnside is popular but relatively quiet. Has a great mix of small independent shops, pubs, etc, great for walks, think you can walk along foreshore all the way to morecambe, and inland up to Arnside knott. Gorgeous views across the estuary towards grant over sands. Publican at fighting cock recommended taking train across from Arnside Station to Ulverston which I can imagine would be a delightful ride. In the end we went by car , but we were pleasantly surprised by Ulverston. Not somewhere that’s ever been on our radar, despite spending a lot of time in and around the lakes. Great independent shops as well as lots of quirky houses and architecture. Lots of cheap parking. Well worth a visit .
Breakfast hearty and tasty, Location excellent, in the centre of Arnside village a short 1 minute walk to the Albion pub and restaurant. The hosts Alex and David were superb in every respect - they couldn`t do enough for you and are really genuine and friendly people.
We had the Estuary room on the front of the house with excellent views .
The apartment was great and provided a brilliant base of operations for our trip up to Cumbria and the lakes. Arnside is a lovely village with views over the surrounding hills and the bay, also having some great walks in the area.
Gorgeous big house with loads of character, perfect for a big group to have a lovely time together. Loved the location in beautiful Arnside with great pubs, food all in walking distance & a very handy shop just next door.
It was warm and comfortable with plenty of space in and around. It was dog friendly. Well situated for everything in Arnside. The information in the house was excellent and the host available in case of problems.
Lovely independent and relaxed vibe. Hotel really is in a perfect location. Welcoming to cyclists with storage space for bike. Delicious dinner. Look forward to visiting again.
