Hostellerie Saint Martin, hotel in Ver-sur-Mer

This hotel is located less than 5 minutes on foot from Château de Creully. It offers en suite rooms, a restaurant and free on-site parking. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

As always the place was welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It's a bit difficult at the moment as the village square is completely impassable due to roadworks but despite this the welcome was as I would have expected (I've stayed there before). The rooms were clean and tidy everything was as it should be. We had dinner in the restaurant, and again, the meals were good value with a great choice of courses and drinks. One of my favourite places to stop in Normandy. Out of the main rush of the coastal route but close enough to all the places you might want to visit.

We were en route from Geneva to Cherbourg in difficult winter conditions. Ver sur Mer was a little off the beaten track and given our time constraints and the weather we didn't explore the locality. But for someone (for example) visiting the D Day beaches, it seems like a perfect location.

With the new British Nornandy Memorial and other D-Day locations in the village there is great potential for British visitors but the only restaurant was not open - may be different in the summer season. attractive sea front but no facilities. Half hour drive to Bayeux

As soon as we arrived we were sad we hadn't booked more than one night. The space is lovely and we were able to cook ourselves dinner and breakfast. It was incredibly peaceful and the private garden was stunning. There are shops a short walk away and it is a quick drive to the Juno Beach centre. Highly recommend!

We liked the self contained accommodation which was quiet and well equipped and even had a small fridge. We visited the museums at Arromanches, the Normandy landing beaches and Bayeux which took up most of our time as this was the purpose of our visit.
